"I had my aortic valve and aortic hemi arch replacements in September 2023. Dr. McGarvey's "bedside" manner is excellent. He explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and was encouraging (and correct!) when he said I would do fine with cardiac rehab. He is also a very personable and compassionate professional. It was easy to ask questions and discuss a disquieting situation with Dr. McGarvey. He had come highly recommended to me by several different people. Recently I had my one year follow up and am doing well and I feeling great.

The entire team of receptionists, nurses and physician assistants of the surgeon's office as well as the staff at Lancaster General Hospital were also excellent. All of them were exceptionally courteous and willing to answer questions or assist as needed. I appreciated having my friends and family near by for support. That would have been more challenging if I had gone for surgery in Philadelphia. Based on my experience, I encourage my friends to consider LGH for their cardiac needs."
