"I was initially referred to Dr. Ling as it was mentioned that he was a very good surgeon for aortic valve replacement, and was a specialist at it. My experience and result with Dr. Ling was absolutely amazing. I am a male at 50 years of age at the time of my surgery. We discussed options whether tissue or mechanical. My research and consultation with Dr. Ling lead me to select the On-X mechanical valve. My surgery was un-eventful in that everything went very well. I was up walking around within 24 hours, my recovery was routine and was discharged within 6 days. Today, 10 months after surgery, I have no visible scar on my chest. I was back to my work-out routine 2 months after surgery and now run for fitness 3x/week for 5 kms or more at a time. I am on Coumadin and finding it very easy to manage. "
