"Dr. Laks is brilliant and recognized internationally as among the best cardiothoracic surgeons in the world. In my opinion, his reputation is completely well-deserved. "I was beyond impressed with Dr. Laks between his knowledge, reputation and compassion for me and my case. He is a softspoken man, great bedside manner and made sure he saw me everyday and being that he is the top notch heart surgeon at UCLA was happy to see he really cared. I liked how he explained everything to me and I was never in doubt about anything. I knew I was in good hands. I also liked the fact before I made the decision for surgery how he gave me all options and put all the cards on the table for me to understand what I was up against."

"The minute I met Dr. Laks for a consultation I was so impressed and knew this was the doctor for me. After meeting a few doctors between east coast and west coast, knew he was for me. His knowledge is beyond belief, admired his complete honesty, utmost professional and very comforting all through my stay in hospital. I knew I was in good hands and felt confident that the surgery would go well. Among the heart valve replacement he also performed MAZE procedure to correct A-Fib problem and patched up a hole I had. I cant say enough about him and would highly recommend him."
