So, is a bad valve the the result of being a big hearted and good hearted person? We love you and pray for a quick and complete recovery.
Kara and Milne, thanks for including us in the notification. Hi to Phil. ....... Don & Ginny
Kara, I know you will be reading these messages to Nancy, so pleeeezzze read this one with the appropriate emphasis and finesse...Hi Nancy, everyone here at OPLI sends their LOVE, and received the wonderful news of your successful surgery with great a big WHOOP! We're hoping that your recovery is speedy, but NOT SO FAST that you don't get to enjoy the hovering and pampering and maybe even a couple dates with Phil! We look forward to your homecoming!
Nancy: I'm thinking of you through your recovery and am amazed at your wonderful family. The updates are appreciated and I will be thinking of you every day until you are well and back to your routine. Can't wait to give you a hug, in person, at the Governor's Conference. Love - Chris
Hey you, Maria and I are sending you lot's of LOVES no hugs for a while! Please let us know if you need anything from PDX as you are recovering over the next few weeks. It would be our honor to help in anyway.
Hey Nancy! Christopher just told me the news today! It makes me happy to read through your journal and learn that everything went well. It sounds like you have lots and lots of prayers coming your way and now we'll add ours!!
I love you guys soooo much and can't wait to see you this summer. And don't worry...we can change our own lightbulbs and we don't even need our pillowcases ironed!
Big squeezes and kisses to you and Phil and your family! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Nancy and family, I am so glad your surgery went well and you will be feeling better soon. I wouldn't know what to do if you were not there for our yearly pork chop dinner and good company. I am sure Phil is glad to have you feeling better so you can keep him in line:) Please rest and enjoy others taking care of you. Love you all Julie Singer
Phil and Nancy (and Kara and Milne and Brian and Marina and ... :-). So happy all is well with all of you. We couldn't hope for Nancy to be in better, more loving hands, since we can't be with her ourselves. Give Phil an extra big squeeze and don't forget to take care of that old strap of leather, too. ;-)
We'll be calving our own heifer (hahaha...) in mid-May and you'll meet him in August. He should still fit into a saddlebag on the motorcycle by then, don't you think?
Nancy, get well soon. I have some inappropriate jokes to make at your expense and can't do it to a gimp. ;-)
I’ll be following along with your updates. Let us know what we can do from here.
Woo Hoo! So very happy your surgery came out "beautifully" and that it is now behind you and your family!!! Tim and I will continue to pray every day for your next journey, and often more difficult: recovery. We, however, are confident that God will be by your side every moment of every day of your recovery, providing you strength and hope. Much love, Kellie
Dear Nancy, Phil and Family,
Linda and I are very happy to hear our prayers have been answered and you are doing well. We all thank God for you and Phil, and look forward to seeing you back in Fossil. Had I known that your first steelhead was going to cause you this much trouble I would have cut your line.
Love and prayers to all, Steve and Linda
Hey Nancy now I know why you have been on my mind. Every day I have looked at your Christmas picture and thought of you. Wishing you great and wondrous healing. I know you will be fine. Know that you are loved beyond words and my sister forever! Phil's bandaid on the open heart pendant reminded me of David's rubber bands and how you and I rubberbanded new labels on everything in the fridge that afternoon! Thinking of you and hugs to Phil, Milne and Cara too! Meg Blackburn Losey
We have been waiting and am sooo glad to hear that the surgery went well. You are all in our prayers and we are thinking good thoughts. Please give our love to your mom when she is awake. Phil - you never make us wait long for some of your good humor!!!!!
Debbie and I are praying for you! May the Lord richly bless you as He puts His hand upon you today. I am praying for your whole family as they too face the stress and anquish of this time. I hope to come see you at the hospital on Thursday or Friday if you are allowing visits.
I am thinking about you and the family and have a prayer for all. In a few hours you will be on the road to recovery and I look forward to 'dealing' with the new Nancy!
Love & Prayers-
There I signed my name-quit yelling at me!
Hi Nancy Girl--Tim and I have been and will be praying for you, your team of doctors and nurses and also for Phil and the rest of your family. I know you won't be reading this until well into your recovery but know that we love you very much!!!
You are already off to Bend so the only way you get this is there or post-op.
So starting late Wednesday and forever on you will be having 'A RED-BALL-JET EVENT'. I want to share many with you!!
Zeke (Jake) here. I am in the middle of nowhere in Southern Sudan and my thoughts are with you. I wanted to tell you I love my nickname of Zeke that you gave me all those years ago. I loved how easily you let me into your family's time when Yulia was there back in 2002. I cannot believe it has been 9 years since that trip.
So be warned I will come back soonish and come pester you.
God, it was wonderful talking to you. Can't wait for this to be behind you and I'll get to see you in April. It's been tooooo long. So angels follow you all the way through this procedure. I love you, Nancy Wilson.
Was surgery the only way that you would take an extended break?! Seriously, I pray all goes well and you enjoy a restful recovery. I know it sounds completely impossible given that you're used to being active and busy, but it'll be a chance to "smell the roses." (Well, maybe out there it'll be more like "smell the horses," but you know what I mean.)
All my love to you,
For Miss Nancy only;
I just read all of the Guest Book emails. Do these people even know you?
Let's get down to the nitty-gritty. If you have already cleaned my trailer can you do it again post surgery? I want you at full strength. I sort of noticed a decline in the trailer cleanliness the past few years but didn't want to say anything figuring you were too busy at the B&B. Now I sort of feel bad about thinking you were slacking on me-but not too bad because you were!
Let me make you a list so you have something to look forward to when you get back.
1) Re-clean inside
2) The outside is getting some moss-get rid of it but don't compromise the caulked seams
3) The landscaping is terrible-JUST FIX IT
4) I want more rock spread out for cleaner access-not that large stuff that hurts my feet when I streak.
Can you be done by my birthday (March 3rd) in case I want to come over?
So I have been thinking about Miss Nanceeeeee quite a bit lately. For some reason I am absolutely positive this is going to work out well. I am thinking of you often and putting in a good word (praying) for you. My second but primary family needs to stay intact just like it is. If for no other reason but selfishness. But hey-that's good enough for me so it should be good enough period!
Wonderful seeing you yesterday, and what perfect timing! Some things are meant to happen. Know that I will thinking of you on the 16th and tracking all your progress as you become Phil's "right hand man" again real soon!
We're thinking of you, our little 'rolling down the hill because it's easier than riding a horse down' friend! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and we'll be sharing lunch again soon. Keep that smile on your face and Phil and those kids close. Love you!
Our fried (he's 78) recently underwent Aortic repalcement and he is doing just fine and I had mitral valve repair Dec 8 and I am doing great. I say this a lot becasue I beleive it: the pre-op anxiety far outweighed the effects of surgery or anything that proceded it.
What a nice thing this is. Mont and I are counting the days til we see you next week. You are in our prayers each night. Reading your story make me think that more people need to have checkups and stay current with their doctors on health issues. We have been busy with grandkids also - what blessing they are. Your pictures and great. Stay steadfast in in the Lord! Love, Sue and Mont
