Pete & Fran,
Wonderful news about the heart cath. Clear arteries are wonderful. Thank you, God. Over the next couple days, we are praying you feel the same peace and presence of God that we did (almost) 7 weeks ago. We also pray that everything will go textbook picture perfect and that you will feel great with your 2 new valves. Amazing! We'll hold down the fort in Florida while you're away. Really, know that you are in our earnest prayers as Thursday approaches.

Fran, Just dropping you a note to tell you again that I am thinking about you and my thoughts and prayers are with you...Keep us posted to the last minute...I remember when I woke up the first thing I wanted to do is blog...I had no Idea what I was saying but I think my friend and family acted like they were listening and just wrote what they wanted, but I do remember waking up and that was the first thing I wanted to. I dont know why but I guess thats what I was thinking about when I went to sleep...
On March 15, 2010...
Hi Fran, so the day is here, you have done all you can to date: read, studied, followed other bloggers, interupreted others tales, now it is your showtime, and I know you will do very well, indeed. You have been a bystander in my mothers court of recovery,,, the stories are not all glamourous, but the drugs- oh the drugs, :)... but mostly the care and the attitude are the ticket to the backside, and I feel you have it in you as well, You have a very good surgeon, a good care facility, great family and friend support, this blog- which is sensational- and all in all, it just adds up to you, Fran Zilko, going forward, and getting back home with the same lickety split roller coaster ride the others before you experienced. God Bless, we will be following your progress, Lisa, Bev Simmons, and Karen too.

I did see you for a split second... but they were running us through like we were getting on Sowthwest Airlines flight and was sent the other way. Lori had on a blue sweat shirt that said "Ugly John" and I had on a yellow slicker (of course its my boating jacket). We are downtown at the Wyndham to "get away from all the hospital stuff. Also my scheduale was all changed due to additional test for maybe a Aorta problem so I get a MRI in the Morning. Breakfest in the cafteria at 8:30 AM.. fun..
happy boating and you are in our prayers.

Dear Fran,
By now you've arrived in Cleveland. I hope you continue to hold up well as your surgery date approaches. The last few days were the worst for me, in terms of worries and "what ifs". I hope you'll be able to keep your mind off it all by doing some fun, interesting things. It really does help.
You've got the weekend ahead of you, so maybe you can get a head start on doing some research for Capt. Bill's guide to "Cleveland After Dark"!
I'm standing by, staying tuned in for your updates. You are very much in my thoughts and prayers, Fran, and I just know that all will be well.
Wishing you peace and calmness,
Susan Murphy

Hi Fran
See you got to Ohio safe and sound. I was watching the news yesterday and the weather they were reporting for Florida was stormy so I was wondering how you were making out. I even wondered if there would be delays because of the storms. A bumpy ride, eh? I've been on a few of those and I'm sure they put heart surgery way in the background! Hold tight. Cheryl, Ontario

Fran,
Have a safe trip with Pete, and think about your NEXT sail in the BVI. I still remember our last one with fondness.
With your positive spirit, the regimen that Pete has had you on and your ability to charm the doctors, I am sure they'll have you back to us in short order. Gail and I will also pray for the both of you to have the best possible experience. Hank
