we arrived in FL. Hope to get warmer weather in the coming days. It was actually sunny and in the 60's at home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Best of luck tomorrow.
Love Nancy + Peter
So good to hear you are feeling calm. Knowing that I have two valves left untouched I'm really glad to know you are going to get it all done at once. You know I wish you nothing but the best and look forward to hearing from Peter as soon as you are "done". You are in my prayers Fran. Cheryl, Ontario
Wonderful news about the heart cath. Clear arteries are wonderful. Thank you, God. Over the next couple days, we are praying you feel the same peace and presence of God that we did (almost) 7 weeks ago. We also pray that everything will go textbook picture perfect and that you will feel great with your 2 new valves. Amazing! We'll hold down the fort in Florida while you're away. Really, know that you are in our earnest prayers as Thursday approaches.
So glad the arteries are clear. You are in our thoughts and prayers for the surgery. Hello to Pete and prayers for him, too, as he goes along on this journey with you. Take care and God Bless.

Good deal on the clear arteries! Mine were clear too so I am happy for both of us; let's hear it for the clear artery club! Will be praying for you during your adventure in valve replacement surgery. Good luck & God bless!
Hi Ms Fran,
Just wanted you to know that David and I will be praying for you this week. You are in great hands. We will be waiting for updates after surgery.
The Lord is Fran's strength and her shield; her heart trusts in Him, and she is helped. Her heart leaps for joy and she will give thanks to Him in song.
Psalm 28:7-9 (my version)
I'll go easy on Dr. Gillinov so he will have plenty of energy for you! Good news on the no blockage thing... What a wonderful place we are in. Im so amazed with this place...I was hoping they could keep me awake to watch my surgery but I guess thats not going to work out.
happy to see the Sun today!!
What great news...clear arteries! Music to my ears! Thats what I'm hoping to hear a month from today. I'll be waiting to hear every little detail...you'll be long home and on the road to recovery when I set out for Cleveland on April 11th.
What a great fan club you have praying and cheering for you and what a great God we have that is with you WHEREVER you go.

Fran, Just dropping you a note to tell you again that I am thinking about you and my thoughts and prayers are with you...Keep us posted to the last minute...I remember when I woke up the first thing I wanted to do is blog...I had no Idea what I was saying but I think my friend and family acted like they were listening and just wrote what they wanted, but I do remember waking up and that was the first thing I wanted to. I dont know why but I guess thats what I was thinking about when I went to sleep...
Hi Fran, so the day is here, you have done all you can to date: read, studied, followed other bloggers, interupreted others tales, now it is your showtime, and I know you will do very well, indeed. You have been a bystander in my mothers court of recovery,,, the stories are not all glamourous, but the drugs- oh the drugs, :)... but mostly the care and the attitude are the ticket to the backside, and I feel you have it in you as well, You have a very good surgeon, a good care facility, great family and friend support, this blog- which is sensational- and all in all, it just adds up to you, Fran Zilko, going forward, and getting back home with the same lickety split roller coaster ride the others before you experienced. God Bless, we will be following your progress, Lisa, Bev Simmons, and Karen too.
I did see you for a split second... but they were running us through like we were getting on Sowthwest Airlines flight and was sent the other way. Lori had on a blue sweat shirt that said "Ugly John" and I had on a yellow slicker (of course its my boating jacket). We are downtown at the Wyndham to "get away from all the hospital stuff. Also my scheduale was all changed due to additional test for maybe a Aorta problem so I get a MRI in the Morning. Breakfest in the cafteria at 8:30 AM.. fun..
happy boating and you are in our prayers.
It's 4:30 so I would assume you are done for the day and resting. I see your secretary posted a very fine note earlier saying you were in testing. I do hope things went well today and that the news is all positive. Stay strong. Thanks Pete for the posting. Cheryl, Ontario
Hi Fran Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We will be thinking of you and watching your journals. You'll be up and about in no time.Sargent Susan went to work and left the keyboard unattended.best wishes. richard from maine
Glad you are on the final steps of your journey. I bet you are ready to get this done...and I know you will be just fine. All of us on this site will be praying for you.
Hey Fran- You'll be getting off that coumadin soon- YEA!!!!! Prayers are with you, and I'm emailing bible study group your journal link for those of you whose emails you don't have and for those who want it.
Thinking of you and praying that the "hands of God" will be guiding your surgeon. I know you will be fine and ready to climb Mount Everest when you are recovered! We will be watching your journey through surgery through this site. Lots of love, good wishes and prayers, Sharon and Jim Harms
Hi Fran! I hope your trip to Cleveland was smooth and uneventful. Sorry I missed you guys on the phone the other day. Well, the week is finally here, and soon the surgery will be behind you. We will be praying for you like crazy this week and asking God to fill you with His supernatural peace and presence. We will also be eager to read any and every update of your progress.
Lots of love,
Duane & Peggy
P.S. You and Bill, don't get so rowdy that you get kicked out and don't tear the place down! ;-)
By now you've arrived in Cleveland. I hope you continue to hold up well as your surgery date approaches. The last few days were the worst for me, in terms of worries and "what ifs". I hope you'll be able to keep your mind off it all by doing some fun, interesting things. It really does help.
You've got the weekend ahead of you, so maybe you can get a head start on doing some research for Capt. Bill's guide to "Cleveland After Dark"!
I'm standing by, staying tuned in for your updates. You are very much in my thoughts and prayers, Fran, and I just know that all will be well.
Thinking of you with love as you undergo your surgery. May you and your family be given all the strength and peace over the coming weeks. Look forward to reading the updates and to receiving your wonderful words of wisdom once you are feeling well again.
See you got to Ohio safe and sound. I was watching the news yesterday and the weather they were reporting for Florida was stormy so I was wondering how you were making out. I even wondered if there would be delays because of the storms. A bumpy ride, eh? I've been on a few of those and I'm sure they put heart surgery way in the background! Hold tight. Cheryl, Ontario
Have a safe trip with Pete, and think about your NEXT sail in the BVI. I still remember our last one with fondness.
With your positive spirit, the regimen that Pete has had you on and your ability to charm the doctors, I am sure they'll have you back to us in short order. Gail and I will also pray for the both of you to have the best possible experience. Hank
