Praise the Lord for the Surgeon's skill in being able to do the re-repair! THANK YOU Jennifer for the updates . . . Our thoughts and prayers are joined with yours for the remainder of the surgery, and for Carla's time in ICU & being on the ventilator - Praying for God's peace and comfort for you and Randy - Much love - Darla
Praying for continuing peace for you all, and God's supernatural guidance of the surgeon's hands, followed by quick and complete healing without complications! And, as always, praying that God's perfect will accomplishes His good and perfect way in all of your lives.
9:28 AM....praying through Psalm 121, 139, and Romans 8:26-32 for you....and resting in the faithfulness of our Savior who will never leave us or forsake us, our Lord Jesus who calls us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us...
Thankful we serve such an awesome God who knows the very number of hairs on our head...who knows our thoughts before we do...who never changes... who is perfect in all that He ordains.
Blessed to be able to lift you in prayer...
Nancy for the K's
At this moment Carla should be in surgery and I pray all goes well. Didn't get to send her a message last night, but hope she did get some rest. Having been through it last month (same hospital, different doctor) and know she is in good hands. Just tell her to do whatever they tell her, they are the experts. Will wait for an update. Prayers going her way.
I AGAIN WOKE UP WITH YOU ON MY HEART-AND I PRAYED FOR YOU, RANDY, YOUR FAMILY, THAT THIS SURGERY WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL AND ALSO YOUR LAST ONE!!!!I PRAYED THAT THE LORD WILL BE RIGHT AT THE TABLE AND GUIDING THE SURGEONS EVERY STEP OF THE WAY-HE IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN AFTER ALL. I PRAYED THAT YOU WOULD HAVE A SPEEDY RECOVERY AND THAT YOU WILL BE BACK WITH US SOON IF IT IS GOD'S WILL.GOD IS FAITHFUL AND I KNOW YOU WILL BE IN THE BEST HANDS!!
I awoke at 5:45am this morning and felt the need to pray for you. Guess it was beacause you're probably already being prepped for surgery. I love you lots and am praying for you. I can't tell you how many people from church keep asking about you and are praying for you. Love, Heidi
I pray that even as I write this, you are getting a good rest knowing you are in the hands of a faithful God who never sleeps. I pray for your physican and for all who will be attending you tomorrow in every aspect of your surgery.
will be holding you close in our hearts and prayers.
Well it's here and we're praying that the same peace of God which you felt during the cath will be multiplied in your rest tonight and in His presence throughout tomorrow. It is the Lord who will be guiding the hands of Dr. Mihaljevic. We are praying also for God's will in the re-repair vs. valve replacement. Father knows best. We will eagerly await word as we pray.
Thanks for the note in my guestbook. I just wanted to stop by and wish you good luck tomorrow. Just keep thinking that in one day it will be all over and you will be on your journey to recovery. Your job is to be calm and let he doctor do his job. You'll be fine. Stay strong and God bless. I'll look forward to seeing a follow-up.
We pray for the Lord to be with you and your family as well as the Dr.as he guides his hands in surgury. We have asked our church to pray for you also. Appreciate your including us in your journal. Hope you don't mind if I pass it on to some other cousins?
Love, Harvey & Bev
You are strong and very courageous, like Joshua! Many times your faith has given me much strength and courage and I believe your faith is exactly what sustains you now as you lean on the Lord.
My prayers are for you and Randy - peace and a great night of sleep - as well as the medical team who will be attending you. God, grant them supernatural wisdom and guide them through Carla's procedure!
I will continue in prayer for you and everyone surrounding you through this night and tomorrow. If you have any awareness between 9 - 11 tomorrow, know we will be praying for you in Bible study.
Looking forward to a great report!
I love you,
So glad that your cath went well today...we serve such a gracious and loving God who never changes....He is totally trustworthy and true...and what sweet sleep we can get knowing that His mercies are new every day! Please know that you are being covered in prayer and love by your family at GIBC and well beyond!
with all our love,
Nancy for the K's
What a blessing it has been to read your journal, Carla. The joy of the Lord is shining through you on this journey. The journal, photos, and guestbook are quite a communication advancement since your 1998 procedure! I have enjoyed every entry and know you and Randy must feel surrounded by prayer warriors. It is special to hear the encouragement from those who have recently been there and done that (as well as from family and friends who have been blessed for many years by your caring heart).
Ben and I have been praying that God will guide your medical and surgical team and give you and your family His peace that passes all understanding.
Sometimes it sounds like such a cliche-"we're praying for you" but when we truly serve and worship the Almighty God we can find so much hope in those4 little words. There is strength in numbers and wow, do you have a lot of people really praying for you. We all miss you back home but are so glad that you are at the best hospital. I am at total peace knowing that you are in God's total care. I love you and am lifting you up to the Lord, praying for grace, mercy, strength and healing.
Your in good hands -- HIS and the doctors.
Visited with your mom yesterday -- looked and seemed to be doing well. It was great to see her again -- she even let me win at cards!!!
You're in out thoughts and prayers.
Todd and Dee
Hi Carla.......so glad everything went well today..........you are on your way to becoming a heart specialist.......just kidding......God's blessing continue to go your way.....said prayers this morning at mass.....hugs...ruthie....Minnesota
Dear Mimi, I hope your surgery goes well. I will be praying for you. I love you ! I miss you too. I wish I could come to your house this summer, But your having heart surgery. But remember I am still praying for you !
Great news Carla. That's how I felt when I learned I also didn't have any blockages as Didn't want that extra surgery!! They put a "plug" in the insertion site in my groin. That was the only thing that was uncomfortable as they had to put pressure for several seconds. It's apparently made of cellulose and will self dissolve after several weeks. Apparently different anasthesiologists do different things at the same hospital. Will pray for success tomorrow. Be at peace.
I'm thankful that Randy called us to let us know your heart cath went well and everything is still a go for Thursday. You continue to be in our daily thoughts and prayers. Rejoice in the Lord always....Love you.♥ Anna
As I finished our study this week the last 3 vs of Joshua 21 I prayed for you...The Lord gave all He had sworn to give...rest on every side....no enemies stood before them Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made failed...all came to pass. This is His promise for you....All He has promised will come to pass for you....I Love YOU my sister...Jo
Dear Carla and Randy,
We prayed for you today at Women's Bible
study and wanted you to know you are
in our prayers here in Jupiter.
Thanks for the update and we will pray
even more for your test tomorrow.
Take care and Blessings, Judy & George Z
Hi Carla and Randy! I love the verses you quoted from Psalm 77! It is such a comfort to look back and see how faithful God has been in the past. He will be no less faithful to us now and in the future because of His amazing, steadfast love! It is always so interesting when they give percentages for the success of medical procedures. One thing they never figure in is our Sovereign and Mighty Heavenly Father! What does that do to the odds? Isaiah 40:10-11: "See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and His arm rules for Him; See, His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him. He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs im His arms, and carries them close to His heart, He gently leads those that have young." These are my favorite verses from my favorite chapter of my favorite book of the Bible! Our all powerful God carries us right next to His heart! What could be more comforting than that? In prayer for you daily, Pat Whitney
Carla, Paul & I are praying for you. We have added your prayer requests to our Church list so many people that do not even know you are praying for you. We can see that God is in control by your Journal updates. This verse came to me after my heart surgery and it has been very reassuring to me each day. I would like to share it with you. "This is the Day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 When God is in control it is a very good day. Love, Bev
YOUR DEAR HEART HAS BLESSED SO MANY THROUGHOUT THE CHURCH BODY, YET THAT IS THE VERY ORGAN THAT IS IN NEED OF REPAIR. HOW IRONIC!!!! WOW...BUT THERE IS A TRUE LIVING GOD THAT LOVES YOU AND PROMISES NEVER EVER TO FORSAKE YOU. HE IS RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE HELPING YOU AND GUIDING YOU. REMEMBER THAT STILL SMALL VOICE-LISTEN FOR IT AND TRUST IT...EVERY MINUTE. IT IS NOW THAT YOU NEED TO BE STILL AND COMMUNE WITH THE FATHER AND WE WILL DO THE SAME AS YOU CONTINUE IN THE PROCESS. WE LOVE YOU. ROBIN C.
Your Tues schedule reminds me of prep for kidney surgery -- full of anticipation and some surprises too. May your mind be fixed on our Lord and may he keep you in his perfect peace. Sweet dreams! Love you, Mrs B
Oh, I almost forgot...hope Randy continues to improve:O)

Restful sleep sweet beloved sister! We will continue to pray you through the coming days. Loved your Scripture today. Thinking of you as we lie down and as we get up and as we go through our days. Be well.
Glad you feel you are in the best of hands. Will pray your INT will drop for tomorrow's angio. Use your relaxation/guided imagery to fall asleep tonight. You'll be a little sleepy after your test tomorrow, so maybe you'll be able to sleep a little. God is with you, you know that. Prayers for you.
