Richard Munson  The drops  are tough for me. Thank god for nancy. My first few attempts were a disaster. Everywhere but in my eye. No doubt if i had to i would get it in time. After i used all the drops up. Lol. Its like cooking, i would learn if i had to but at the moment no need. 

Richard Munson  Good advice, i have been closing right eye on line and using left but its exhausting. Now i know how capt. Kidd felt using his i pad in between pillaging. Lol.

Richard Munson  Hurricane hillary. Oh the lines i’m tempted to say but won’t. My eye procedure was postponed till end of september, hopefully 80 year old surgeon will stay alive to perform it. Next weekend is shadow canine good citizen exam. Not sure he is ready. He is very immature compared to cassie. Easily distracted. Its a 10 step test and requires his full attention. The car show was great. Weather perfect. Stay safe in hurricane, second nature to us back east. 

Ana Brusso  Sorry to hear your procedure was postponed. Surgeon will be here to do it. Let’s hope Shadow will surprise you and pass the test. So far so good for it being our first hurricane but it hasn’t been easy. Too much rain and soon wind, and maybe tornadoes also we had an earthquake 5.1. Too much in a short period of time. Richard Munson  Not that much here ana. We thought we had a marie sighting the other day but it turned out to be a side effect from my eye surgery. I meet the new surgeon next week for a consult. I have a typed list of questions for him so no doubt he will be shell shocked after my visit.

Kimberly Eisenhut  Richard, I am sorry you are struggling with these issues. I was told a few weeks ago I have very beginnings of glaucoma, big surprise to me. Guess it is good they caught it early before any damage, but need drops for rest of my life now. Also told my knee is bone on bone, but getting 2nd opinion on the 8th to see if there is something I can do to bring down swelling and be able to do PT. I am only 57 and feel like everything is just falling apart all at the same time. One day at a time I guess.
Glad Shadow did well at school! He gets a gold star So do you!!! You are a great dog daddy!

Ana Brusso  Richard, maybe in June when you see her she can offer a remedy for your blurry lense. I try not to complain too much, but pain is pain. I got PT today and it felt good. Next appointment of pt is almost end of June. My left eye is doing well. Monday is the right eye. Will keep you posted. Shadow surprised you, he’ll do well in his final exam. He is a rebel but love ❤️ you and Nancy.

Tomorrow God’s willing will go to the local Air Museum to watch their special tribute to Memorial Day and those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom. 🙏❤️

Richard Munson  Today was one of those picture perfect, not a cloud in the sky, slight breeze but in the 70’s day. Few and far between it seems. I hope you have a great day at the museum. The weather is so important to these activities. After the parade goes by the house monday i hope to drive a little more if i can coerce nancy into a little more puppy sitting. I left the top down. I marched in my share of memorial day parades for about 10 years after my fort sill days and hated them. Very grueling and hot. One year we got booed after the vietnam debacle. It was tempting to break rank and clean house but we just ignored them. The war was our fault of course. Just ask hanoi jane. Does she live in california? Henry must roll over in his grave. She looks pretty good for 86 thanks to her plastic surgeon. I have a great plastic surgeon cartoon if you want me to post it. Very funny. Now shes blaming men for climate change. Do they ever go away? Next week they measure my left eye and then i meet with the surgeon. I am still not happy with right eye and will let her know but don’t want to overdo it in case she retaliates and pokes it out. Lol. It seems like over 80 it becomes one thing after the next as my hip bursitis is acting up again and makes for painful walking. Only cortisone seems to relieve it but it  only lasts about 4 months and they will only reinject after 6 months. I get to suffer for 2 months then the dance starts again. I fight thru it to walk the dog. 

Ana Brusso  Richard, I hope your eye will have a good response to your procedure if there is one.  I had one eye done and it’s ok. THe nurse poked a blood vessel and gave me a black eye which is finally clearing. My eye is good and can see clearly. My right eye will be done next Monday the 5th. Praying it will be ok too. We seem to have the same pains, the knees the bursitis and the cortisone shots 😂. But we are brave and strong and “heart warriors “. Glad you got to drive that beautiful muscle car. We had a great time at the Air Museum and thank a few veterans for their service. 🙏❤️🇺🇸

Richard Munson  We look at it pretty simply. Having a dog is a commitment and we feel blessed to be able to share our home and love with them. They give so much more than they take. It pains me to read , almost daily it seems, so many stories of animal abuse. Anyone that mistreats their pet has no place in my world. We had some boating friends many years ago that we really liked but they clearly abused their dog. We dumped them like a bad habit. And yes, i told them exactly why. In our 56 years together we have loved 6 different dogs. They were all great family members and each brought us so much. 

Ana Brusso  Richard, thank you for the post. I’m glad things seem to be back to normal in the Munson’s household. You are right about it being a commitment, that’s the least they can get from their parents. Good job Richard and Nancy 🙏❤️👍

Richard Munson  I’m all for the same punishment judas eventually ended up with less the 30 pieces of silver. It might be a deterrent for future traitors. There is no excuse for betraying your country, in my eyes. It weakens us and degrades my contribution 60 years ago. Can you imagine the penalty north korea would hand out. His entire family would be toast. That might be a little harsh, we are more civilized, but just a slap on the wrist that seems to be our new country wide theme is not acceptable. There is a responsibility for your actions one can only hope. I’m sure there are other opinions. 

Richard Munson  Hey ana, i looked up what robert hannsen got which seemed fair, the rosenbergs got a little harsher penalty for their misdeeds. 

Ana Brusso  No excuse for treason. My father and many others fought for our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for us to be free, and some heartless person decides they can betray our country and others and not pay the consequences. We will see what happens to this person. Stay tuned 🗽✝️🇺🇸

Ana Brusso  Richard, you are not going anywhere and your eyes will be fixed just like your beautiful heart. My appointment is at UCLA on the 11th. I will keep you posted as to what she says. I can’t trust any ophthalmologist in this town, I have had at least six and none of them I trust. 

Richard Munson  He is having his manhood snipped. From a health standpoint it is a way to guard against canine prostate cancer. He has been exhibiting typical male dog maturing symptoms like marking territory and being way too interested in other dogs so we decided to go ahead with the surgery. Of course the downside is our baby will be in pain for a few days plus will need to wear the collar of shame for a couple of weeks to keep him from licking his wounds. Our last male dog yukon just before cassie was also neutered. Cassie of course was spayed. We have a blow up mattress for nancy to sleep on during his recovery period as we want him to remain on the first floor and have company. 

Ana Brusso  Ooooohhhhhh Shadow. Sorry he has to get this done but I understand is necessary. Your Nancy is a saint. Love ❤️ you guys

Ana Brusso  I feel good overall but can’t wait to see my surgeon. My Serbian doctor’s first name is Darko. He is caring and very smart. Told me he couldn’t believe how good I looked because he read my chart and saw what I went through. He said my valve sounds good and also my heart. I will see him again in April God’s willing after I meet with my surgeon in March. How are you doing? When are you getting your test done? I think of you every day as I pray. You’re going to be great. Hang in there and don’t lose the faith. ❤️🙏🤗

Richard Munson  The only issue i had with the halter monitor besides the irritation it caused on my skin was the short duration of it which was why i opted for the implant chip which lasts 3 years and sends signals to the doctor. Its been a year and will be a topic of conversation at my next cardiologist visit in february.
