1. Are Heart Valve Journals FREE to use?

Yes. All of the features and functions in this website are free for patients and caregivers to use.

2. How do I start my own Heart Valve Journal?

To start your personalized Heart Valve Journal, simply click click here.

3. If I am a caregiver - friend or family member - can I start a Heart Valve Journal on behalf of the patient?

Yes, many caregivers create Heart Valve Journals on behalf of their patients.

4. How can my support group subscribe to my Heart Valve Journal?

Your friends and family can subscribe to your journal via email. All they have to do is click the button in your journal which says, "I want to subscribe to this journal." at your journal.

5. How can I reset my password?

To reset your password, simply click the 'Login' link at the top of this page. When the login screen appears, click the “Forgot Password” link.

6. Do I have to update my journal every day?

You can update your journal as much as you like. There are no daily, weekly, monthly or yearly requirements for using Heart Valve Journals. Simply login and share whatever you want, whenever you want!

7. How can I change my profile picture and upload other pictures to my journal?

To change your personal picture and upload new pictures, simply login to your Heart Valve Journal and click the buttons that say “Change Picture” and “Upload Pictures”. It’s that easy.

8. How can I invite people to view my Heart Valve Journal?

It’s very easy to share your Heart Valve Journal with your friends and family. Simply login to your account. Then, in your “My Control Panel”, click the button that says “Invite Friends”. All you have to do is insert your friends’ email address. The system will then send them an email notifying them of your new Heart Valve Journal. Again, it’s that easy.

9. Who manages and operates Heart Valve Journals?

This application was developed by Adam Pick, a double heart valve surgery patient and author of The Patient's Guide To Heart Valve Surgery. Adam also developed the Surgeon Finder and manages HeartValveSurgery.com.
