Edwards Celebrates 1,000,000+ Valve Patients

Here are two interesting announcements from Edwards Lifesciences, the leading heart valve replacement manufacturer on the planet.

• On May 8, 2008, the company announced its devices have helped more than one million heart valve repair and heart valve replacement patients since the company was founded 50 years ago.

• Edwards also announced that the Edwards Sapien Transcatheter Aortic Heart Valve has been used in more than 1,000 patients worldwide on a trial basis.

These announcements were made at the American Association For Thoracic Surgery, which is being held May 10 through May 14th in San Diego, California.
