Edwards Celebrates 1,000,000 Valve Patients & More

Here are two interesting announcements from Edwards Lifesciences, the leading heart valve replacement manufacturer on the planet.

On May 8, 2008, the company announced its devices have helped more than one million heart valve repair and heart valve replacement patients since the company was founded 50 years ago.

Edwards also announced that the Edwards Sapien Transcatheter Aortic Heart Valve has been used in more than 1,000 patients worldwide on a trial basis.

These announcements were made at the American Association For Thoracic Surgery, which is being held May 10 through May 14th in San Diego, California.
