More Incision Shield Samples Coming!
Good news everybody!
Yesterday, I received a call from the Incision Shield team. I told them how quickly you gobbled up their Incision Shield samples (posted here in an earlier blog).

Guess what?
The owner of Incision Shield is going to send me more free samples to give out to those of you preparing for heart valve repair or heart valve replacement.
If you are interested in receiving a complimentary Incision Shield…
Please send an email to adam@heart-valve-surgery.com with your name and address as soon as possible. I’m not sure how many Incision Shields are coming, so I will send them out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Oh yah… The Incision Shield is designed for heart surgery patients experiencing broken sternum recovery. So, if you are having robotic valve surgery or minimally invasive surgery, this product will not help protect against scar discomfort. That said, let’s make sure those patients that get samples are having a median sternotomy (aka broken sternum).

Keep on tickin!

Adam Pick is the author of The Patient’s Guide To Heart Valve Surgery, a unique book which integrates the clinical facts of heart valve surgery with the personal experiences of an actual heart valve surgery patient. This special book was designed to help patients and caregivers better understand the realities of heart valve surgery (heart valve replacement and heart valve repair), to minimize patient stress and to enhance the patient’s recovery. I’d be very interested in hearing how well the shield works! I’m a 66 year old woman who had a quadruple bypass in June, and my incision is still very sensitive. My doctors think it is nerve damage. I can’t wear clothes on it! Very disturbing 9 weeks out from surgery! I’m considering buying one, but would love a review of its effectiveness. Thanks!
