I did not go in for the procedure on Monday. I was to unsettled so I rescheduled for Tuesday after speaking with a cath lab nurse. She helped me understand the catherization process and recovery better. Then the doctor called and said I would not be getting a stent in the blocked artery b/c the aortic stenosis was severe and I would have a bypass during open heart surgery. TUESDAY AM. Dr. Jafar spoke with me for awhile before preparing for the procedure. Again, he said he would not be putting in a stent b/c of the stenosis. I said,ok lets just get it done. SOOOOOO... when I came to enough to find out how I did Dr. Jafar said, " I put in a stent b/c the stenosis was not severe,it was only mild to moderate. The artery was not blocked enough to need a bypass, the stent would do. So you DO NOT NEED open heart surgery !!! I was what about all the tests and what the 2 cadiologists said, it was severe.... He said, Well it was not, that is the good news. Even though I was out of it I called everyone I knew I guess twice b/c I did not remember calling them the first time. I spent night in hospital and now am home. A little foggy still but went for a walk today. Soooo. I am still going to Mesa, AZ in December tto meet with my cardiologist and show him the CD and talk about staying in good shape. I I will see my wonderful caridologist here in Poughkeepsie, NY on Wed. and get his imput also. I will do the 4 month rehab here and do what I have to do to lower my risk of CVD. I am pleasently surprised and still in some shock. All the plans I had set are now going to be cancelled. I have to share on herbal product I started using when I had shortness of breath. I use other products from this company. It is called HEART FORMULA Dr. Richard Schulze. company is www.herbdoc.com The first dose I took, I never had shortness of breath since this. I do not know why I did not take this ever since I knew that my Aortic vavle was bad. It was a huge oversight. anyway. I just expected to strenghten my heart in general to be as strong as possible for the surgery and recovery. Do I think this is what did it all , no I feel it helped. It is a miracle that it turned out this way. I have done other energy healing, prayer and oxygen therapy. with the test showing I still needed the surgery I was resigned to that. Feeling that all I had done would help with ease recovery and being the strongest I could be for it. I have used Dr. Shultze's products for years. even did his cleanse 8 years ago to take away breast cancer. It was an 8 week intense cleanse, but i did it and it worked. Well that is all I have to say now. I appreciate Adam and his book and everyone's experiences that were helping me be so prepared. Best to everyone, Angela

I am having a heart catheterization procedure on Monday. I may need a stent as on the CT I had done recently it showed a blocked artery. If it is blocked bad they will wait and do a by-pass during the valve replacement. I was surprised by that news. I have been reading some journals and it has been so helpful to me. I am making notes of tips to remember. Thanks to Terry and Amy for answering questions and giving me their insights. I appreciate it.

Hello All, Iknew several years ago that I would be pending surgery, never really thought the time would come. The day I learned that the surgery was necessary I went on line to learn more and am so grateful that I found this wonderful book. I ordered it and have read every word. I am 56 years old. I had a lymphoma CA when I was 20 and then at 35 had thyroid CA, now I am facing this issue with aortic Stenosis. The research I have done revealed that this is a pattern with many people who had lots of radiation due to CA when they were yound. Though I am asked by each doctor if I had rhamatic fever, this is mostly due to the radiation exposure. I live in Poughkeepsie, NY now, for the past 2 years, but I have lived in Mesa, AZ for the past 30 years. I am going back to Mesa to have the surgery. I found my surgeon on the surgeon blog. Yea, was so happy, my cardiologist in Mesa also would have referred him. He is Dr. Gyu Gang. He had two patients blog and give great reviews. I am grateful for them sharing. So today is Nov. 1st. I will go to AZ and met Dr. Gang the first week of December. Then my husband and I will go back to AZ in Jan. to prepare for the surgery, actually to prepare for the greatest possiblity of being totally healthy again. I have enjoyed reading so many patients experiences . I like gleening the insights and tips on how to be the most comfortable. Since I will be staying with my nephew and niece in AZ I have lots to get settled in the room we will stay in. I will be going over my lists and stay organized in what I need to do so it will go as smoothly as possible. I appreciate everyone's insights of what works and did not work. I will be pouring over the book and blogs again in this next 2 months. Thanks to all. angela I am open to any suggestions and insights.
