Heart Valve Leakage
Blog Topics: Heart Valve Leakage - What Is It?
I’ll never forget when my cardiologist told me about the diseased condition of my aortic heart valve and the problems it was causing my enlarged heart.
“Your aortic valve is severely stenotic. And, you know it’s a congenital bicuspid aortic valve, right?” Dr. Bad Beside Manner said. “Also, you have heart valve leakage. It’s not good. We need to get this taken care of within the next few months.”
“Ugggh. Heart Valve Leakage?” I thought to myself, “What the heck is heart valve leakage?”
Needless to say, I learned what the heck heart valve leakage was… Quickly!!!

After I had aortic and pulmonary valve replacements (via the Ross Procedure), I’m glad to say that I have no more stenosis, my heart is no longer enlarged and… no heart valve leakage!!!
