I had my Aortic Valve replaced three1/2 years ago also due to being born with a bicuspid valve which over the years became severely stenotic and had to be replaced. It was a very scary time and decision making process but I am here to tell you that the worst part is over for you. It's downhill from here with your OHS surgery behind you!

I don’t remember much from the OR but right after they wheeled me in, somebody asked a young intern in the room if this was her first surgery. She replied “yes.” I yelled “mine too” through my mask.
