If you love your Doctor like I did I’m sure things will go well.  Surgery was on a Wednesday, Thursday my Dr. said I was doing so well, I could go home on Friday.  


Because my pain really wasn’t severe I tried to resume to fast back to normalcy.  My advice:  Let your body heal.  It’s okay to do some things but remember instruments have gone through soft tissues and nerves, so allow them to reconnect.  Eat healthy and be patient.    I hope all goes well for you as it did for me.  There’s still some small healing going on but nothing us women can’t handle 😉

Thank you for the recommendation! I have a consultation with Dr. Hoffberger at Sarasota Memorial, who has a fine reputation as a mitral valve repair specialist. I want minimally invasive repair, no sternum cracking. If he disappoints me, I will follow up with your recommendation.

I’m not a wheelchair user but I have had all the usual procedures / tests prior to o h s . If I can help with anything let me know . 
I had a severely leaking mitral valve  , you ‘re asymptomatic so hopefully feeling strong pre op . If you need more info. The departments you will be going to should be able to answer any questions you have too or other members of this fabulous online community .
