Well, it's about time you ate something ! I told Phyllis to bring you some sugar wafers to eat. Man, we better tell everyone to move out of the way of your tall walker. Do you have a license for it ??? Now that you are up, there will be no stopping you, huh. I am doing a little better on the congestion, I sure hope it gets out of here by the weekend. I hate being sick. Love you , keep on keeping on, Marilyn

Carol,
You are such a trooper! Thank the Lord for your loving care of Aunt Bloss and your sweet spirit that goes out to all those hospital workers, visitors, and us reading your updates at home. I am praying for your continued strength. It is surely scary for you and for us. We are praying that all these issues will continue to improve, especially the speech and attention issues. If you think of anything I can do, please let me know.

I know it has been rough for you, but we need to realize this isn't just a scratch you have had, it was major surgery. Your heart is adjusting to the new valve and your body is trying to heal from the cutting on it. It will take time. I think considering what you have undergone, one week later, you are doing fantastic. You have been so blessed with all the journaling Carol has been doing and all the friends that have been "signing" your guestbook, I hope in time you can read them and feel all the love and encourage-ment going on for you.Just remember God is good, and he has promised good for you. Love, Marilyn

Well, more good news, stepping down from ICU, I will be looking for tonights update, and how the walking went.
When I get the word I will call the room to chat. I am taking cough med and musinex and all trying to kick out this beastly congestion.
Otherwise keep up the good work, my friend. Love ya good, Marilyn

We thank God for you and your progress. Still praying and trusting that the Loed will continue to be at your side. Keep pulling to win.

I am trying to keep the class informed. You know "old" folks are, they don't use computers and they keep their telephones on "screening for calls."

Aunt Bloss,

You are doing GREAT! You are improving and tomorrow you will improve a little bit more. God is holding your hand just as I did today. "For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."

I love you SO much!

Sooooooooooooooooo, very good to hear of your remarkable improvement. Of course, you are trying to do all you can to get yourself about, what did they expect, you have always been a go getter, won't sit still for a moment, love to be doing. Sounds, like your back !!! Can't wait until you can have more visitors. I would have come with the Boyles but they left from Autryville, and I have some congestion. I don't want to get you sick. I'm so delighted you are doing better. Hang in there kid-o. Love, Marilyn

I haven't stopped praying for you and I was excited to read your journal today. This is my first time on the computer since surgery.

I am moving very slowly, but I am moving. I listened to son, John, preach today and enjoyed having two of my daughters here to pamper me.

You just hang in there and keep praising Jesus. He will be with you at every turn.

Love, Pris and John

Praise God for the good steps (both literally and figuratively) you've made today, Mrs. Allen. Keep on truckin'! Carol, I'm still praying for all of you. What a blessing it is for your mom to have you there. If I'm ever in that situation, I sure hope someone will sit by me and talk to my doctors and nurses like you are doing for your mom. Priceless!

Praise be to God !!!! Psalm 27:14 came to mind this morning. "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
How perfect is that in light of how she is now doing. I myself am down with some chest congestion, thus I would not want to share my germs with her. I am praying and getting some rest, as I want you to rest, and get strong. Love you good, Marilyn

We are still praying for Sherry and for you, Carol, as you watch over your mom and her caregivers. Praying for the doctors to be able to figure out all that is happening and for her hearing aid to be found, as well. So thankful that God is in control of it all!

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
You are either a helper or a hurter when it comes to reaching the world for Christ. Why? Because, like “Big Brother,” the world is watching your “Sunday-go-to-church” behavior and wondering how it compares to your behavior the rest of the week.

Do they see you giving your time and resources to help them when they’re hurting? Do they witness how you treat your family? Or how you entertain your friends? Or do you even know their names?

ACTION POINT:
The greatest argument for Christ and the greatest argument against Christ is the life of a Christian. “Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave! Some poor fainting struggling seaman You may rescue, you may save” (Philip P. Bliss).

Sherry you are the argument for Christ. And Carol so are you. God bless you both today. Marilyn

Dear Carol, please don't be too upset about what is happening to your mom. A couple of days after my surgery, my heart rate spiked too and I went into Atrial Fibrilation, which is also common. They gave me some meds and it cleared up very quickly. It was probably 4 days before I really wanted to eat anything as I just wasn't hungry. this is also very common. I have had several problems come up that delayed my recovery, but it has now been 3 months since my surgery, and I can't tell you how much better I feel than before my surgery. I have so much more energy. Your mom will come through this better than ever even is she has a few setbacks. Some people just do. Praying for you and your mom. Sincerely, Inge Colby

Dummy me, I though my email had to have a new entry to see your new postings. So I missed all the excitement you were having, going back into ICU and all. I am glad you are going to have around the clock obsevation, after all that was a big surgery you had. This is just a bump in the road, enjoy the ride, you are in great hands. Keeping you prayed up and wanting to see you so bad, but knowing you aren't up for it right now. So just know you are loved. Marilyn
