Good Morning, Sherry!!! I am so thankful you are doing so well!! It might feel like it to you at the moment but you have come a long way. I am praying that the Lord wll take away your nausea and I know He will. If I have to be put out I get the same way so I know how that feels. I have felt a peace (even before you went into surgery) from the Lord and I knew you were going to be just fine. I still feel that peace so I know with Him you will be better and better as each day passes. Thanks, Carol, because I was also wondering why your Mom was called Bloss. Also I want to thank you so much for the journal updates because they are such a blessing!

I just thank the Lord that you got a second opinion!! Just know that you are one day closer to being fully recovered and doing what you want to do and not what you have to do (right now)!!! I love you. Suzanne

Morning glory, I'm praying God will encourage your heart today, as he has blessed your life, and surrounds you with love ones as you seek to get better, so that
you will be able to glorify HIM as you keep getting better, and when you come home you will serve him more than you ever have before. Sherry, you have made a difference in so many lives, one life at a time.I pray you will feel like eating today. Take it easy my friend. Love ya good, Marilyn

Hi Aunt Bloss,
You are similar to my mom (your sister) in many ways when you get sick and have surgery. That nausea is the pits.... You are doing great and God is so good.

'I love you "good now"'

Hi Girl, prayers have been answered, praise God. I know the nausea is awful. It won't last much longer.I recall the 7 heart related surgeries Earl had.I had a lot of experience waiting. Carol can now identify with that. However, the worst is over.Carol said you were joking around with your doctor today.I knew you would not lose your sense of humor, laughter, etc., not for a moment.Love,Jo-Anne (Jo-Jo)
On October 19, 2011...
Carol, could the nausea have someething to do with her hernia ? I know she was on that special liquid medicine before she went up to Duke, perhaps that is the problem. Ask Sherry about it.
I know you will be lonely without the rest of the family, but Hoot and all will be there tomorrow. I hope to be there Friday, and I think the Boyles will be also.
Hang tough, and we will keep praying,.blessings Marilyn

What a blessing to read of your sucessful surgery! I'm so glad everything has gone well this far and pray that you are having a good night. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. JoAnne Starling (Bobby's sister).

Be sure to eat and take all the pain pills they give you. You can face the nausea thing if it happens. One step at a time my friend. Remember no pain no gain. You are going the downside of this, it is getting better. Thank God you are up out of bed and being somewhat cranky, that is indeed a good sign. Sleep when you can, enjoy the pampering you are getting. Carol, is so good to keep us updated like this. How are Mike & Phyllis holding up ? Good night, eat your dinner. Marilyn

You go Aunt Bloss!!! I am so grateful to hear how well you are doing so far. Not surprising, with your attitude and faith. Carol, I know what you mean about crafting a spontaneous, from the heart journal update, only to lose it somehow before submitting. Then you are much too tired to reconstruct it. But I so appreciate you doing the work required to keep this journal and inform us all about Aunt Bloss' progress. We are still praying, as she has a long way to go. You and Phyllis and Mike are also in my prayers, as I know it isn't easy to be in your shoes. Can I visit you tomorrow? What room is she in?

Praise God, I kept looking at this journal until I went to bed at 11:00 pm, looking for this very thing. Of course she would say "God is good", that is her main verbage. Keep on keeping on my friend. Maybe the reason you have been in so much pain these last few weeks, is so you would be able to tolerate the pain you are now experiencing. God is so wise isn't he. You are doing what I expected of you, my strong, kind, spiritual friend. When you get home we are going to be walking, walking, walking. I probably won't be able to keep up with you. Keep on doing your best. Love, Marilyn

Carol, does your mom still have the breathing tube in? I'm having my surgery tomorrow morning here in Louisville and My surgeon told me one thing about the breathing tube but the dr that will be putting me under told me another thing today. So I went from believing I'll have it in only a couple of hours after the surgery to being told it will be in all day and night and possibly two days or more. So I'd love to hear what happens with Sherry.

I'm so glad she made it through the surgery so well!!!! She continues to be in my prayers!

Warm regards,
Terri Grimes

PS. The doc that puts me under must be full of pat-tooey cause I hear about people walking around 24 hours after the surgery but how can you do that if you've got abreathing tube in? I think I'm going to give him a call.

Hi, just a short message to let you know I will be praying for Sherry. I also had my aortic valve replaced in July. I am 71 years young and doing very well. I feel much better with the new valve. You didn't say how young Sherry is, or what kind of valve she is getting. I am curious. Mine is a cow valve.

I have had so many positive responses to my journal, its just a great way to let everyone know how things are going, and it helps others who are in the same situation.

I will keep updated on her progress.
