Praying for you all, You sure have had an ordeal. I hope that you will have no more setbacks.

I had surgery on Dec. 19th to replace my aortic valve and to repair my ascending aorta. It was done at CMC in Charlotte by Dr. Stiegel of Sanger Heart. I did not have any problems and was home by Christmas eve. I have heard of Dr. Chitwood and know that he is an excellent doctor.

I'll be thinking of and praying for you, Linda.

Hi Babs and Nancy, hope there are no more steps backward! Praise God she is improving and just imagine how inspiring her story will be to others who fear they won't be able to handle surgery. Glad to hear you are sitting up, Nancy. The more mobility you have wiill be better for your recovery. We don't want any more problems to set in. Babs, on Jan 5th, you mentioned that Nancy's oncologist was going to or had stopped by. Is this another doctor added to the team, and why an oncologist?
Just heard from Chris Riddle. From a recent conversation she had with either you or Nancy, it was thought Nancy would be home and that Chris was ready to help out at home. I read your most recent message to her about the setback and that she will not be home as soon as she thought. However, Chris would like to know if there is anything she can do as she has off Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri. She even offered to sit in a waiting area (no visitors) to help in any way.
You can either contact Chris direct or through a message here and I will call her.
Remember, our prayers will continue, on and on.

Nancy, I can't begin to thank you enough for your concern about Mercer with all that's going on with you. I brought him home around 2:00pm with a clean record. The doctors have no idea what happened, I just hope and pray it doesn't happen again, it scared me to death.
You will continue to be in our prayers.

I saw Ruth & Jean yesterday at Address Angels, Ruth asked for an update and told me to tell you your in her prayers. Jean is keeping up with you on your website.
My grandson, Sean was here yesterday, he'll be leaving for Afgan. the end of the month till Sept. he dropped off his dog at Diane's.

YES it is cold! Here in your sister state of SC (Hartsville) it was only 19 degrees when I got up at 7:45 this morning. I was up late last night watching football game and slept later than usual, so I don't know how cold it actually got. Hope today finds you feeling better and closer to getting out and going home. Dear Nancy,
Sorry to hear you took a little setback earlier this week. I hope it has altered itself by now through prayers being offered from all over, your medical staff, and God. Rest the best you can, which is difficult in a hospital. The "FPC Angels" had a little 90th birthday party on Dec. 21st for Ruth Shoemaker. She was really surprised.
BABS, you are doing a great job keeping up with work and mom. Hang in there. If there is anything Don or I can help with, either now or after mom goes home from the hospital, please call on us. We are both doing fine now.

Hi Babs, Haven't been on my computer for a few days--having problems with it--sorry to hear the latest news and hope your Mom will not need additional surgery. Will keep her in our thoughts and prayers. We were hoping to be able to visit her--even though we know it would be a short one. It would just be a day trip. Nancy, my thoughts and prayers are with you, praying that you will turn the corner this very night and not need any more surgery.
