"Dr. Mick’s professionalism, charm, warmth and patient skills were evident from our first moments together. She clearly and patiently answered all our questions, allayed our concerns and walked us through the procedure. Dr. Mick quickly appreciated my focus on post-surgery recovery and return to vigorous endurance sports, allowing us to laugh together. As a result, she validated my confidence in her skills before the procedure. We met several times before I was released, with her caring approach and gentle hand always evident. My recovery from surgery was swift and within a few weeks I was back doing everything I love to do. After returning home, any questions I sent to her were quickly answered by her and the extraordinary care team which works around her. Dr. Mick is both a wonderful surgeon and a wonderful person."

"I am a 75-year-old female competitive swimmer. Four months ago, Dr. Stephanie Mick repaired my mitral valve during a complicated surgery (no fault of hers!). During my 23 days stay at Cleveland Clinic, she visited me often and conferred with other doctors who were brought in. She kept me informed as to what was going on. I was pleased with her and am sending her the gold medal that I won last weekend swimming in the State Senior Games which qualified me for the National Senior Games next summer. I highly recommend Dr. Mick. "

I had Median sternotomy Mitral Valve repair surgery 12/07/16. By 12/11/16 I was easily walking one mile/day. When I saw my Echo Cardiogram four days post op., I was amazed at the valve function and how neat and clean the repair looked. Dr. Mick is truly a miracle worker! "

After I was done in rehab, I traveled back to Cleveland to meet and say thanks to the people who cared for me and to meet Dr. Mick and to thank her (she gave me a big hug). I had some heart testing done (ultra sound I think) and they said it was the best valve replacement job they had ever seen. No leakage at all which they said was unusual. So,if you are considering heart surgery I highly recommend Dr. Mick and Cleveland Clinic. PS. I am doing very good."
