Dr. Miralem Pasic, heart surgeon, graduated from School of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1980.

After medical school, Dr. Pasic completed a residency at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1986.

Dr. Pasic is a European board-certified general, vascular, and cardiothoracic surgeon.

Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic as a Staff Surgeon and Visiting Professor, Dr. Pasic held leadership positions in Germany and Switzerland, including a long-standing role as Deputy Chair at the Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin, Germany. His extensive teaching experience includes professorships at the Humboldt University Berlin, Germany, and the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
