Hello! My name is Dr. Edward Chen and I am a cardiac surgeon having graduated from Duke University in 1992. To date, I have performed approximately 6,000 cardiac surgeries, of which more than 5,000 involved heart valve procedures. Dr. Edward Chen, heart surgeon, graduated from Duke University in 1992.
After medical school, Dr. Chen completed a general surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco, in 2000. Next, he completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Emory University in 2003. Dr. Chen also completed an aortic surgery residency at the University of Texas, Houston, in 2003.
Dr. Chen is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
