"Dr Geiss was very attentive to my questions during my first visit after my cardioloist told me I needed a valve replaced due to a hereditary condition. I appreciated his direct approach when discussing the negative aspects involved with a surgery of this type. His bedside manner was businesslike with his concern for your well-being showing anytime there were problems. When I was released from the hospital Dr. Geiss gave me his personal cell number to call if I had problems. When I did have a question and called him, he answered the cell phone himself. No waiting for a call back from a service or a nurse. The recovery was easier than I was expecting. I have more energy now than I have had in 5 years. I am walking 4 miles a day and am looking forward to being able to walk when golfing. I have ridden in a cart for the past 5 years. I would be remiss if I did not mention Dr. Geiss's office staff and physicians assistant. Courteous and caring all the time. I wish Dr. Geiss had been around when my Dad needed heart surgery in 1975. That is as strong a recommendation as I can give Dr. Geiss and his staff. Five stars."

"A visit to Dr. Geiss will end your search for the best heart surgeon. He made sure I had the proper frame of mind for surgery; was a constant presence during my hospital stay; and continues to follow up. My incisions are minimal and healing well. His office staff reflects the same high standard of care. You will know the minute you walk into his office that you've come to the right place. With the surgery behind me, I can focus on recovery and a better life."

"I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Dale Geiss, of Peoria, Illinois. He performed a mitral valve repair, installing a rigid ring that completely corrected my leaking valve. Because I'm an avid golfer, he agreed to make the incision between my right ribs instead of the chest. He provided wonderful care while I was in the hospital, insisting that I get ICU and ICU-step down care instead of a shared room. His care in follow-up appointments was amazing, because he took personal interest in my heart rehabilitation and making sure my lung function returned to normal. In my opinion, Dr. Geiss is one of the leading heart valve surgeons in America, and certainly one of the best in the midwest!"
