So very glad and thankful that you are able to go home and celebrate your mom's Bdy!!! I am sure your own bed and a shower will be great - take care and we will continue to pray for your COMPLETE recovery!
Yippee!! You made it! We thank God with you for His grace through your whole ordeal. Now you can recoup at home. Happy Birthday to Mom, too. What a great b-day gift to have you come home!
Tom and Linda
Praying for you all - that you ALL have a good night's rest - and a good day with great progress tomorrow! One step at a time - and HE will give you the strength and patience for each step...

So glad to read the Blog and see the progress that Trevor is making. I know it's difficult for him to see beyond the moment, but each one brings him a step closer to "normal" if there is such a thing. We think and pray for all of you often, looking forward to seeing you. Brad & Jo
Sherry I remember Ashley gaining water weight after her surgery also. It does go away--seems the heart can do funny things when it doesn't feel so good! Take care--glad to hear you are all getting some rest!
Hi Nelson's! I am sitting at the KC airport waiting for my flight home. Just said good-bye to Randy, Becky, & Gavin. We had such a great time as they boarded their flight to Phoenix. We have been praying for you and the family. We kept checking yesterday for the blog updates. God is so good! Hope to see you at home soon. Love ya-Cheryl
I'm so glad to hear that Trevor is doing so well. I had AV replacement at Duke on May 21 and it has been "interesting" on the road to recovery. Like many others here say, take one day at a time and then it becomes one week at a time. Do not over do it or you will pay for it for a couple of days.
Do what the doctors say and take it easy. It's as hard on the family as it is on the patient.
Sherry so hear that things are starting to become more comfortable for Trevor! Nick is keeping up with the Journal and it has been a great source for him as he is at Fort McCoy with little contact with the real world so thank you for that! Tell Trevor to hang in there--the pain will go away with time and patience! Be strong as I know you must be exhausted--nothing harder than watching your child hurt and know that isn't much you can do! Trevor--God is good all the time and we are praying for you all! Hang in there! Deb Rinaldi
I'm sorry to hear about your condition, but I am very glad that you are doing well after the big surgery and are on a fast track to recovery. You'll be back flying in no time. I'm praying for ya buddy!
Thank you so much for the updates - I have been on the computer nonstop the last 2 days. I know each day Trevor will be stronger and feel much better - I would encourage you as his caretaker to get rest and take care of yourself. He will continue to need your help in the days/weeks to come.
Love you guys.
Have been following your great postings on Trevor's progress and am really proud of him. It isn't an easy process because of the pain and the general feeling of being hit by that darned bus that has been striking all of us here. He knows what he has to do but doing it.....well, it just isn't easy. I used to say my husband took me for a drag because I was holding onto him for dear life. It is reassuring to see the tubes and gadgets removed one by one though. Keep strong. Give him my best. Praying for everyone.
I remember when I had my boys (c-sections) (I KNOW NO COMPARISON TREV but MY ONLY BIG STORY ON SURGERIES!! : - ))...anyway, they kept saying MOVE...it will make you recover faster. I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR THAT...because I didn't want to BREATHE, much less MOVE! BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, YOU'LL BE BEATING YOUR BROTHERS IN GOLF AGAIN! :-)
Those of us who have had our surgeries have been there. Hoping they can get a better handle on the pain management as Trevor will move more and feel better. Once he's up more and moving about, he will feel better and his appetite will perk up. You might even get a smile from him. Mom, you need to nap when he naps and conserve your strength. It's hard on those who sit and wait. Praying for a great recovery.
So glad to hear your surgery went well. Not sure if you remember me but long a ago :-) my sister and I used to babysit you four guys. My mom forwarded this link on to me and you have definitely been in my prayers the last couple days and will continue to be in my prayers in the coming weeks.
You all have had quite a day! We are so thrilled that all went so well and that Trevor is progressing right on schedule. We will continue to pray for him...and you all.
Praise to Almighty God for His hand of blessing on this whole procedure. Sending our love.
Tom and Linda
PS Try to get some sleep tonight. :)
Trevor, Sherry, Marsh, and Family,
Chuck and I are so happy the surgery is over and everything went well. You are in our prayers and we look forward to the time when you are back on the journal.
Love to you all,
Pam and Chuck
I have been praying for you guys all day, and it's great to hear the news that he's out of surgery and waking up. Yeah, it's behind you/him! And now I will be praying for a very boring and uneventful recovery. I am 14-1/2 weeks post-op now. God is in control and He takes care of His own.
Thanks for all the updates! I've also been hanging by the phone--just in case! So happy to hear that all went as expected. So far, our prayers have been answered, but we'll keep on....we're with you in spirit!
Lots of love, Aunt Barb et al.
Thanks for the updates...have been praying for Trevor and his surgical staff since early this am (FL).
You can be so proud of such a wonderful, wholesome son...and so grounded! What a testimony he will have!
Thanks for the posting. It's 10:30 as I'm writing this so I would hope he's half-way there. You have raised a truly amazing young man. You have to be so proud of him. I'll be looking foward to the posting telling us he's done. Keeping you all in my prayers and thoughts.
Praying for you, Trevor (and your family). We know that God is faithful in ALL things and HE is there with you and the medical staff. Thanks for the updates - I am sure your mom will have a great birthday celebration later this week - with so much to celebrate!!!
Mark & Nancy
I know today will be a long day for you all but know he's in great hands and will soon be waking up to a much healthier and fuller life.
I work with college students and I've been impressed by Trevor's mature and thoughtful journal posts. You have raised a wonderful son. In just a few hours he'll be smiling at you and ready to start on the rest of his life.
Take care of yourselves as you care for Trevor. You're all in my thoughts and prayers today and I'll be waiting for your updates.
My prayers are with you and your family. I will be looking for the next update to hear you came through with flying colors. I am 2 days behind you for surgery, mine is Thursday. I completely understand about wanting this to be behind you and move on!
