Hi, I said a prayer for you last night and again this morning, just found your email with this site. It is 9:41 and you are probaly still in surgery. Your heart is big and good...is the best thing about you. Anyone that has helped and showed love to so many will soar during surgery and during the recovery period after.

Just remember those buttons we passed out on our mutual 40th..."It's never too late to have a happy childhood", and in your case never too late to counter the effects of some shitty DNA! Just make sure this new valve (not the first time some strange cow gave you a piece of her heart) is a YOUNG one, so you keep on beating long after this surgery. Matter of fact, ask your doc if the valve can be from a BULL, so your social life doesn't slow either! We're all here for you bro-not sure why, but we are! And the Yankees really need you in the rotation this October...

Actually, the worst is over...that period of time up until the surgery. After that, it's "almost" a piece of cake.

Remember, after this is all over and done, you will have a new "heart-on," something you haven't experienced in a while. Enjoy your rest and don't forget to cough...no need to turn your head and shout, "this feels good."

I'm really sorry about all this. I didn't know that Aortic Stenosis is contagious. It must have been that night we spent together in Bermuda. After all, you did look lovely that night.
