I am so happy to hear you are coming along just fine. But tell me, was the surgeon a doctor-doctor or a doctor-dentist? Laaaaaady!!!
I recently read an article regarding new research into the choice of the old fashioned splitting of the sternum and the minimally invasive procedure which you had. It stated that the "decison on the incision" is based on the size of a man's endowment. This helps to explain why you had the small three inch incison and why I had the nine inch incision. But don't let that get you down...you'll be up, but not that up, in no time. Keep improving and don't forget to cough...believe me when I tell you that as much as that may hurt, it beats sneezing.

Glad to hear you came through with flying colors. The good news is that everything went well. The bad news is that you slept so long you misssed the World Series. The Yankees lost four in a row by an average of 15 runs per game and MLB decided to sell the Yankees to the Cleveland Indians and move to Pocatella, Idaho. A-Rod decided to quit and he got a job with City of Angels as Bob Redlin's chaueffer.
Now, you rest and take it easy. Don't pull any wires or tubes out, that's how they get TV reception at the hospital. Remember, breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth...AKA, smell the cake, blow out the candles.

This is Steve's sister, Gail. I was trying to post an update on my dear brother but couldn't get in to log on...so here is the scoop. He came through the surgery in great shape. Doc said he was in great need of the valve replacement so we are all glad he is through with that. He went into the surgery with a very positive attitude and the love and support of so many. He will get through his recovery with that same love and support. Thank you all, on his behalf, for being there for him, if not in person, then in spirit.
