As I reflect on this beautiful story of God’s love and care for His faithful servant Elijah, I am reminded of God’s love and care for us. In the midst of the brokenness God is there. When we are tempted to dropout from what He has called us to do we are reminded that God sees all – He knows all. He is a witness to our pain and frustration, our heartache and sorrow and every tear we cry. He promises to care for us in the same way He did for Elijah. Our job is to trust Him and to keep our eyes fixed on Him and nothing else. Simply trusting my friend. Marilyn

Morning glory, it's about six am, I have been tossing all night. No rest, the cat, Tom snooring, I shall get up soon to head up toward Duke. I will check in with you this afternoon, I am glad you rested well with your family. Remember there is light at the end of the tunnel, God said let there be light and there was light. You are the light in many of our lifes, after Jesus, of course. Don't let them make a pin cushion out of you today. See ya later gator. Love, Marilyn

Dear Sherry,
This is a big moment for you, but in every detail it does not take the Lord by surprise. . . . He has planned for your health and well-being (like allowing the need for bypass surgery to be discovered), I believe, and we are trusting for all to go VERY WELL on Tuesday and throughout your recovery (Psalm 91:1-2).
You will soon have more energy to reflect His Glory to your friends and family! (2 Corin. 3:18)
Praying, with much love,
Sue Martin for all here

Hi Aunt Bloss,
I hope you got settled in at Duke today and have a good night's sleep tonight. We love you and are praying your surgery goes perfectly on Tuesday. It just has to - that's all there is to it! The Lord's not finished with you yet, I'm sure. Neither are we!
Bunk and I will see you Thursday.
Love you so much,
Connie

Hi! Sherry,
I am so glad to be able to keep up with all the things God is doing to protect you and bring healing. You are so blessed to have family and friends who love you and will be constantly lifting you up in prayer to our mighty God. My own mother had by-pass surgery about 30 years ago. She did feel much, much better once she had recovered and lived at least 40 more years of abundant life! I am praying that you will do well in every way.
Much love,
Kathy Fletcher (and family)

Sherry,
I've met you several times when Carol has been with you at activities with the kids. Most recently was when Alesya was playing soccer. We'll be praying for you throughout your surgery and recovery. Lord, grant Sherry joy in the midst of hardship, peace in the midst of trial, and comfort in the midst of pain. May our precious Savior be your rock.

Hi Mrs. Allen,
We have been praying for you through the past days and will continue to pray in the days ahead. Vivian Beekman told me this morning about a lady who had double bypass surgery and afterward felt better than she had in many years. We are praying for that result for you as well.

Hi Ms. Sherry,
You have been in my prayers, and I know that your surgery will be done and over with successfully before you know it. You have someone above called Jesus that is looking out for YOU and me! You have such a beautiful smile in your picture, but even more beautiful is knowing that you are the reason for the smile! Prepare for the future without fear; Keep the faith and drop the fear. Hi, Mrs. Allen. You have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I know you're going to feel so much better and stronger after this surgery. The knowledge, skills, and expertise of medical physicians who do this surgery have made this procedure a remarkably successful one, and we can give thanks and the glory to our Lord and Saviour for blessing these physicians with this knowledge and these special gifts to help people in this very special way. You are loved and are in the thoughts and prayers of many who are lifting up your name to the great healer above. Love and peace to you - Wanda Dail

You mean the world to me. I have know you for some 8 years, and the friendship just gets better everyday. If I were younger, I could say you are my mom, that's how close I feel to you. I can be myself with you more than with anyone else. I am bombarding heavens doors with prayers for you. God's love is evident in your life, you are transparent about your walk. My life is better for knowing you. Love always, Marilyn

Mrs. Allen,
Carol told me that you're getting ready to have surgery. I just want you to know that I will be praying for you as you have the surgery and then while you are recovering. I will pray that the Lord will guide your surgeon's hand and that the problem will be 100% corrected. I'm glad to have this opportunity to receive updates about you so I can know specifics to pray for. Thanks, Carol, for putting me on the list!
Love to all of you,

G-ma!! Praying for you as you continue to prepare for this upcoming surgery. We know God is in control of this whole situation and this is where He wants you to be at this particular point in life. Keep looking to Him and He will give you and us all peace which suppresses all understanding. Just remember not to spend your time and days worrying about what is coming up, because if you do you will end up with a bunch of empty yesterday's.
Love ya!
-David
