I'm glad you went with what's comfortable for you. You have to have confidence in the surgeon in who's hands will be your life. I was blessed to have a surgeon here in Tulsa as I can't afford to travel. He was absolutely awesome and my surgery was what he called "textbook".
You will be in my prayers as your surgery approaches.

You will be gaining such experience by watching Fran and Capt'n Bill's journals in the next week as they experience Dr. Gillinov's surgery techniques and of course the Cleveland Hospital. Fran and I will make sure Dr. Gillinov is not too worn out for you. I have been in the "waiting room" since I had Rhumatic Feaver as a Kid, so thats like 10 years ago (NOT). Watch my journal and you will have "The complete guide to Cleveland after dark" Covering tasty food and the best gowns to wear while strolling the halls after midnight. They are the best....good choice.

Welcome to the "club". I am having my aortic and mitral valve replaced at the Cleveland Clinic by the famous Dr. Gillinov. Myself and Bill Thune (Capt'n Bill) will be there at the same time. His surgery is the 17th and mine is the 18th. I live in Sw FL and will fly there for testing next week and will meet the doctor the day before the surgery!! Have complete faith in him and his team (and the hospital). Will be curious to see how long you'll have to wait. The CC had my paperwork on Dec. and got the call from his nurse on January 3rd, telling me of my March date. It's been a long wait, but God has taught me patience. Hopefully your wait won't be as long, but be prepared. Hope you've read Adam's book. You will find this site to be a wealth of information and help from a lot of caring people. Keep posting and I have signed on to get your posts. My posts will be coming from Cleveland starting Sunday night. Glad I am the first person to sign in as we have so much in common.
