Ros:

Don Franz, who recently joined the blog, is from Canada and has the same problem with delay and lack of choice that you do. I sent him a comment in his guestbook about your solution and suggested he may want to get in touch with you about surgery in India. Your solution sounded like a good one for anyone facing paying for heart surgery.

Hi Ros,

I too had the minimally invasive surgery with the incision below my right breast. Very uneventfull and easy recovery, other than soreness at the site. It has been 3 wks and I feel better every day. My surgeon told me to start pushing myself and doing whatever I feel like doing. Best of luck to you and welcome to the group! I will keep you in my prayers!

Hi Ros

You are certainly going a different route so it will be of great interest to many of us here to see the difference in care and procedure. Good for you for being a pioneer. I hope to see many more journal entries keeping us informed of how you are doing. Good luck.

Hi Ros,
I had minimally invasive mitral valve repair surgery through an incision under the right breast on March 2, 2010. I had an uneventful surgery and recovery. Good luck and any help I can be ...let me know.

Hello Ros
Just came across your entry on Adam's Heart Valve Journal and have signed up to receive your updates. Doesn't sound like we have too much help to offer you as far as choosing a surgeon and hospital as you've already done that. Many of us will be willing to offer suggestions prior to surgery and post op. There's people here from all over the world with varying stories to tell. Update us when you have a surgical date and pray that you won't have long to wait and that all goes well.

Hello Sivakami,

I almost missed this as your message was routed to my 'Junk' folder. I happened to see your message before I deleted all junk.

Good to know that you have begun the treatment. You know Swamiji will continue to be with you as you pass thru this difficult stage and emerge stronger to continue His work as before.

Regards. Jagadish.

Dear Sivakami:

I suppose most of us have a hole in our hearts, but you've taken it a bit too far, eh?

I'm shocked and sorry at the news, but hopeful that the diagnosis is the beginning of restoring your strength. Operations can help -- just ask Shari who threw away her walking cane after her first vertebra was fused to her sacrum with seven screws, two bars & a plate.

So please accept our best wishes & prayers being sent to you all the way from Whidbey Island, Washington State.

Swamiji's blessings,
Tom & Shari

Hi Ros

Sorry to hear your news. You have been on my mind a lot since Xmas as we were supposed to meet up for lunch. I don't know how you feel on a daily basis but I could come and pick you up if you are able to go for a little jolly in the car. Will watch your Journal and wish you the Very Best. Lots of love thinking of you Sue x
