Hi Richard. I remember the first meal I cooked after surgery – went for the easiest thing I could make & was proud of it. It sounds like you’ve learned to step back & slow down when you need to – a valuable lesson for those of us still in recovery. Keep feeling better – Joy Vera

Hi Richard
Glad you're feeling better. Did you see a direct relation to the increase in your medication to slow your heart rate and feeling tired? There's a definite link till your body regulates to having a slower heart rate. A day at a time and try judging your progress by the week, not the day and you'll really see the improvement.

Ricahrd:
Thanks for the note! Sounds like you have had a few bumps but are doing OK. We stayed in Cleveland until Wednesday for my check up and then started for St. Louis. Enroute all things went well, except I noticed I was getting more of a rash in my lower extremities. Had a check in with my doctor and discovered that I have shingles. I am now taking medication and have not had any furtehr complications today. I will have my first check-up with my primary doctor next Tursday. Thanks for your encouragement.

Family, friends, childhood friends, neighbors, clients, fellow parents, folks you have never met. So many people have shown their love for you, just when you needed it the most. I could say you were lucky, but my favorite nephew named Richard, you are merely getting back the huge amount of love you have given. I know you will convert all that positive energy into helping others who lack the resources and support you have been blessed with. Now please come home already, I miss you xoxo Auntie Cori ps:Send your biggest hugs to Teresa, Jason and Mr. O xoxo

Great news. Enjoyed the photos. Saw the spirometer in your hand. Make that your best friend (after family) for a while. It does make a difference. What a great success story you are for Paul who's most likely having his surgery right now. I got to meet Bill Thune (capt'n Bill) at the CC, his surgery was the day before mine. Take care.
