Please be assured that you WILL be able to do tons of things independently again. My ex-next door neighbour is 5years on from a heart transplant and is pretty much the same as she always used to be-and no, it didn't take 5 years to get that far!!

Take things slowly and steadily and be gentle with yourself.

Sorry to hear you had to go back to the Hospital. I know that each thing can be more emotionally hard after coming so far. Know this,God has his hand on you and, "if God be for you who can be against you". You have a lot of love and care of your family and close friends and now this heart community. So rest and think about the good God has blessed us with, the beauty of nature, and even funny things that come to mind and sometimes even happen in the hospital. It's all helped me through my ordeal and it still does. I'll keep praying for you and you can pray for me.

Mine started Oct.2012 and due almost dying after my MVP repair cause my sutures on my heart broke when they were done and closed me up. Then they had to do emergency Open Heart surgery to save my life. I didn't come home for just over 4 months. It was almost 1 year ago on Feb.28,2013 when I finally came home to my house. So I know what a great feeling that is to finally go home. So happy for you.I'll keep you in my prayers too for your recovery and strength to continue. God Bless.

I love the Beatles references and that you like them. In the states we had the 50th anniversary of them being on Ed Sullivan a few weekends ago. It was great to see all the tributes and to see Paul and Ringo perform together. My oldest daughter Laura (who is about your age) and I went to see Paul 3 years ago. He was great.
