Hey Peter. I recently was told I would need surgery w/in 4-6 weeks. I have BAV w/ sever stenosis and mild to moderate regurgitation.
I'm considering tissue valve replacement and possibly Ross. Could you share your decisionmaking process in evaluating Ross and whether you compared tissue valve replacements? Also, did you consider repair?

Peter Woglom Hi Damian. Thanks for your email. While it was recommended by my cardiologist that I go the Ross route from the beginning and I'm 95% sure I will, I'm still learning about the various pros and cons myself.

I was just thinking about emailing you but I thought I'd post here instead. Just wanted you to know that I've been thinking about you and was hoping you might reconsider having your Ross on my "birth date" of 2/27?? That's when I had my Ross last year! :-) Please reach out to your friends here if we can help in any way. You already know how I feel about Dr. Stelzer and I just tested his work this week at Disney World in Orlando. Feels nice ignoring all the "Weak Heart" signs on the thrill rides! LOL

Peter Woglom Thanks Chris. Quite the b-day gift you gave yourself! Now that holiday chaos is sort of behind us, I'll certainly be reaching out to those you introduced. Got some good feedback from Dr. Stelzer on a variety of questions I sent his way though (I'll post about it of course!).

Glad to hear Disney went well. We're looking to get down there this time next year now that Mickey and Minnie seem to have taken over the vast majority of our apt these days!
