Perry, you sure are more sophisticated than me using this sight. Great idea! I wish you the best and will be keeping you in my prayers in the days leading up to your procedure and during your recovery. As far as Thanksgiving goes, you won't want any turkey.

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. - Irish Blessing

What a difference 35 years make! My father was diagnosed as a child in the 1930's with rheumatic fever, which damaged his aorta. Sure enough after several decades and when surgery was just becoming an option.... his aorta was replaced with a stainless steel version! Recovery was a bit longer than yours will be - weeks/months to your 5 days. In a quiet room we could hear him tick like a clock as his heart beat! May all those years of surgeries, recoveries, and education be used to treat you to a successful surgery and speedy recovery. We will pray for you, your family and your medical team!

Perry & Kate,
After just getting my brother through a mitral valve repair, I am awed and amazed at what can be done so skillfully by these surgeons and how thoroughly the hospital staff will care for you post-operatively. I trust you will be as good as new in no time at all! I will certainly keep you in my prayers.
Best wishes!
