Huge relief to hear this! Thank you so much for these updates. They mean a lot to me. Wrinkled forehead and getting off sedation isn't fun, but it is the way out of this and back to being her self again. I hope and pray it will go quickly and she'll be as comfortable as possible! LOTS of loving thoughts being sent your way!
Thanks for all the updates Chris! Stay strong & please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you out too!! We'd love to come by & see Patty when she's awake & of course it is alright. We'll be on stand by till then. Thanks!
Cris, thank you for keeping me (all) so informed. Eases the worry a bit. She is still my baby no matter her age and I feel her pain. Please give her my best love,
Mom aka Grandma
Saturday and hope my babe Patty is on the mend and feeling she is back in the world with all of us. So wish I could see her with a kissy but know against the rules--no exceptions for Moms. Please do keep me posted ongoing. I am awakening in the night, wondering how my babe is doing.
Thanks, love Grandma aka Mom
It's 1:00 AM, but just had to check to see if any progress on finishing this operation. Thank you so much for the regular updates which are such a blessing! Praying for Patty and hoping things will move along quickly so she can begin recovery.
Hi Guys,
Well I'm writing to let you both know that you were sorely (not as sore as Patty, I'm sure) missed at our Lady & the Tramp Italian dinner. We had a great turnout, despite the rain and so many excellent chef's that not a soul left hungry.
Frank was a great Elvis (doing hound-dog), we had sock puppets as the Three Tenors, Jason was Dean Martin (singing "That's Amore") and he was a great sport as the kids threw 'pizza (whipped cream) pies' on him. We had a Pizza eating contest, a la 'Lady & the Tramp' and played the movie in the overflow for the kids. Kitty & Dennis one the Oldywed/Newlywed game as the finale.
Tanya & Laura made the place look gorgeous and Tanya & Trish manned the kitchen.
Chris: There aren't words to say how awesome your counselors have been during your absence; you can rest easy and be proud of both of them; they are great men!
Patty: I looked at the date for the next one and I want you to know, that you are going to have to get better really fast so you won't have to miss the next EPIC ward party!
Thank you Chris for keeping me posted. I am so concerned and caring for my babe, Patty, wondering every minute of the day how she is doing, praying all will be well with her and that she is comfortable, not in pain, etc. What an oardeal for her to have to go through. Only wish I could change places with her. Not fair that she suffers. Best love, Grandma
Just read your whole story and updates.Great to read the updates firsthand. Thinkin' about you and you've got me praying too.
Hope to see you up and running around sooner than later.
Take care my friend, Jackie
These updates are so important to us! I check regularly for them. Thank you so very much for keeping us informed. I hope Patty is in her "happy place" snorkeling in Hawaii, or at a chocolate fondue fest or something like that until she comes to. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Patty continually--
So pleased to hear things are going so well and even ahead of schedule. I just wish they could've installed a zipper so you wouldn't have to go back into surgery :-) . Keep up the good work, Bambi! We'll miss you at the dinner tonight!
Hi! Just read your "My Story" and it's so cheerful! We love your sunny outlook, so....
Hooray! That surgery's over. Our prayers are that you'll have a smooth recovery. We sure love you, Aunt Patty.

Our prayers are with you Patty and your family. Thank you Chris for keeping us informed on her condition. Warm best wishes on your fast recovery, Patty!
Thank you for the update. I have been watching for it this morning. I so hope and pray things continue to go well, and that she will soon be awake and on the road back to her old self again. I am sure this has to be so straining for you, Chris. When Rick was ill, I realized that it is hard for the sick person, but doubly hard for the person who is awake, watching and worrying. I pray you will feel the peace of the Comforter.
Patty, I know you will enjoy reading all these posts from your friends and family. We are greatful that the operation went well and look forward to your recovery. Thanks Chris and Jeff for posting. We love you all.
Linda and Jim
Thanks so much Jeff, for letting us know. Gosh, that is a surprise! I am so glad that they saw the need for a bypass and could do it while they were in there anyway. Why is she going to be sedated so long? I am so very thankful that she is on this side of that operation.
You are ever on my mind and in my heart. Thank goodness for our good doctors here that they recognized your problem and knew just what to do. Knowing my daughter, won't be long before she has her running shoes back on and working rhe PTA and teaching her lesson at church. Hallelujah!!!
Thank you Crhis for keeping me posted on my daughter/your wife. I am very, very concerned and care. Do you have any idea of the time she will spend in the hospital and if we can see her at some time. I appreciate it will be a while but care and eager to see her again to know she is well and okay.
Thank you so much for the updates! I've been on pins and needles all morning wondering how things were going and it's wonderful to know that all went well. The power of united prayers is marvelous!
Hope and pray all has gone well for you dear daughter. A "pins and needles" day for me. I am jumpy/eager to hear that all has fone well for you and you will be up and running soon again. I love you dear daughter Mom
You are my precisous daughater and I am feeling your pain today. God bless and I am sure HE is tired of hearing my begging prayers for you but I will keep on praying just the same. I Love you dear daughater!
My sweet sister, you are in my ever thought today...we can't wait to see you on the other side of this 'perfect drama'! Well said, Evan!!
As I told you yesterday, we will see you in your recovery room...if God isn't taking up ALL the space in there. You know he keeps a close eye on his angels.
We love you and are praying for your speedy recovery...but have no doubts, since you are so full of MOXIE! (dictionary definition:The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage.)
See you in the recovery room, sis!
I love you
Karen
Love,
Diane
