Nancy,
Wanted you to know that you are constantly in both Deb and my prayers(although it remains to be seen what influence that I might have in that area). We think of you every moment of the day and hope for your rapid recovery. As they say in East Texas, "you're a tough lil cooter" and we know that that each day makes you stronger. We love you.

Hi Nancy,
I hope you can slow down a little and have a nice peaceful day without having to be poked and prodded and stuck. You are in my thoughts all the time and I know you are going to get the better of the whole situation. Of course the great care from family helps as do the prayers from all of your friends. Over here we have gone from freezing to RAIN and the bottom field is becoming a lake. Sure glad my calves won't come for a couple months. Love to you and the whole family:) Julie Singer

Miss Nancy,
I am glad to hear you are rebounding. Next you need to have 2 days good and 1 day average. Of course the ratio will need to adjust upward. Don't settle for just a few 'Red Ball Jet' days. We want you to have a 'Red Ball Jet' decade and beyond!

Hang in there Nancy-- it gets better-- just takes time-- Allen's cancer is confined to the kidney and they will remove it the first week of April. Sound like you have so much fun with you granddaughters-- aren't they wonderful-- our oldsest who is 18 is going to move in with us in about a month. She is going to college in Lebanon. Just take it easy and get well soon-- we are thinking of you everyday-- Allen and Bertha

Hey Nancy Girl! It was good to see your message. I suspected that something was up...not like you to be 'quiet.' Glad everything is back on track. What a journey for you my friend. Thank goodness for medical technology and all but won't it be nice when medical technology has a pill to make recovery instantaneous? One day, I am sure!

Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, or your family. Of course, we are praying every day but something a bit more tangible...I could come over and help Phil with the heiffers...Tim makes a mean pancake... :)

Much love,

Kellie

Miss Nancy,
It's good to hear you are doing better and back on the road to recovery. (Totally selfish reasons e.g. cleaning my trailer-although I bet if it meant rapid recovery you wouldn't mind the trailer 'task list' completion by March 3rd) As you can see by the Guestbook Messages there are so many rooting for you (49 pages and counting) and it would not be smart to let us down! Don't ask!

Happy Friday,
It sounds like you are doing everything you are supposed to. Time to heal is the hardest thing to find. Milnie and family seem to be making sure the time is there for you to heal. It snowed off and on all day yesterday and is darn cold today with even colder tonight. I hope all of Phil's babies are doing well and he is staying warm and rested. I will be teaching at the Rodeo Queen clinic tomorrow. Always love seeing the girls grow every year into remarkable ambassadors for their sport. You keep getting better and I hope you get or got a chuckle from the mail. Love you and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Julie Singer

Hi Nancy,

Great that you are in Culver with Milne and family. Know they are taking good care of you.

We're getting snow today. Over a foot so far and still coming down. The most we've had at one time in years. The snow plow just came, so now we have to do our part to dig out. Will wait until it quits snowing though. Thank heavens for Ted's snow blower. Wish it would work on the decks and walks (my job)!!! But the shoveling is good exercise!!!

Know you will continue to improve each day - just don't push it too hard.

You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Love, Ted and Yvonne

I have been in Portland for 5 days helping with my Grandchildren so I have not been responding to your guestbook. Sorry for the delay. I am so pleased to read all that I have received since I have been away. I just can't tell you how often I think about you and know that your family is taking such good care of you.

Phil has probably given you the "weather report" from this area. Roger went to feed a few hours ago and I did not hear back from him so have called to check on what is going on. Turns out one of the county plows got stuck on Carter Hill and he has been trying to pull it out.

Mother is doing very well. I hope by now that you have received a letter from her. She was going to send it to Milne's home.

Take care. Please remember you are always in my prayers. Love you Linda Jo

Nancy,

Sounds like you are recovering nicely, even though it probably seems slow to such a go-getter as you. Glad you didn't trip up that old man in the hospital, although I can imagine you thinking about it. LOL!

Enjoy your time with Milne and her family, the grandkids sound quite entertaining. :~)

Looking forward to seeing you back in Fossil.

Hi Nancy,
Glad you got some sleep. Hospitals are not places to get any rest. I just found out last night about an interesting product which was highly recommended from my spiritual teacher who is one of the most awesome women on the planet today. I think it may be able to help you with your blood regulation issues. The book about it is called Earthing and I'm going to order the Earthing Universal Mat. They have sheets as well. Read reviews about it online. I'm going to order the mat today for Tim and I. Would like to get the sheets but can't afford it right now.
Love you, Ellen

I love your stories...always have but the ones you are sharing are so precious...with your granddaughters. Continue to follow doctors orders and know you are in my prayers.

Today is Friday and for those of us employed by 'white devil slave masters', wait a minute-my employer is not from America-same concept, in the five day work week this is often call Happy Friday!
For those recovering from Heart Valve Replacement of less than 10 days ago today is another Monday! I would bet there is only one of those participating in this. So to those recovering I want them to know I am thinking about your (that's for you Mill Knee) and want to make sure you are moving towards a Happy Friday with great haste or at least to the best of you (for you again Mill Knee) ability. 'Get gooder soon' and lets have a gabfest as soon as you are up to it.

Good day Nancy, we just finished another day of babysitting. Today we had both of Tracy's kids as it was a snow day for everyone in the Portland area. What fun they are but I admit we do get tired. I hope that you are being kind to yourself and indulging in the care of Milne - she is quite the caregiver it sounds like. It seems like such a short time since the surgery and you are doing so great - it couldn't be better music to our ears.

Nancy,
Because of you, I have now watched several heart valve surgeries. Just waiting for yours to come up on the screen. Without blood, the heart is really white. I don't know why, I always thought it was red like a Valentine heart.
Your observations are really interesting and
it is fun hearing how Tegan and Kailee are creative in helping you heal. Keep up the good work, girls!

What a wonderful time to be recovering with you dear family around you! I am praying the Lord continues His healing upon you every day. I can't wait to see you on your horse again chasing those ornery cows around. My fondest memories are down at the old homestead picking apples. Debbie and I are coming to see you in April....I can't wait to see you and Phil again! All my love, Dave

Oh Nancy! You are such an inspiration. My ticker does it's beating regularly and rarely do I give thanks. Thank you for reminding me of all I have to be thankful. I was out of touch for a few days as I went to Seattle last Friday to help celebrate my dear aunt's 80th birthday...we threw a successful party for a special person. Seems you'll be making it to an 80th birthday party as well...and likely beyond with that fancy valve! I was so relieved to get caught up on your postings and hear you are doing so well. The images of your "races" and the train are wonderful. Sure hope the pain subsides soon. Stay warm and off the icy surfaces. Maybe Mother Nature will soon start cooperating with your recovery needs (i.e., warm up and stop snowing!).

Much love to you and the family,
Denise, Stan (& Annie)

I'm going to spend the weekend with MOM and the girls are going with Margaret. Love, Frank

Seriously, we wish you all the best and a speedy recovery.
Life down here in Arizona has been good this winter and I just got back from a javelina hunt.
No pork, this year.
Among other things, Sue just had surgery on her right arm and wrist to correct carpo tunnel and pressure on the ulnar nerve. She is doing fine. And we have a new grandson, and we are soon to have a great grandson via Georgia' Daughter Kaity.
