Larry...you better watch Mitch! He is probably becoming BFFs with ALL the nurses. Glad they are gonna take him early in the morning.
I would have hated for him to have to wait half the day. Tell him Linda said "behave yourself!"
My experience with the cath was also no big deal. Now that you have been absorbed into the hospital, I hope you find the waiting and anticipation easier, as did I. I was surprised that I didn't even need a sleeping pill the night before my surgery. Praying for you going into tomorrow. May you know God's peace, presence, and healing. All the best!
Mitch...just had to make your day! I just received a phone call from a guy, could barely understand a word he said...but did understand that he was calling in regards to a half million dollar cashier's check I have just won......bahahhahhahahaha! I have heard about this stuff, but this is the first time it has happened to me! You think it was rude for me to laught at him and hang up???
Hope the rest of your day is restful and full of humor! Knew you would ace the cath!
Thanks Larry!! Mitch knows we are all thinking of him and prayers sent his way...but... Tell him again, anyway!! I know he will do great and I look forward to your and his recovery posts. Hugs to his family. Cheers to getting fixed!! Love, Janis Kielbasa
Hi Larry! Thanks for taking over the journal duty for Mitch! We have all come to think so much of Mitch. He is quite the character. If it's not completely out of the question, lol, give him a hug for me!
Okay gang, just spoke to Mitch right before he checked in to the hospital. He was in good spirits and "ready as I can be" were his words. He and Mom were having breakfast at Lenny's across the street from the hospital. that was around 8:30am. Then Mom called and he has already been taken for his cardiac cath. That was around 9:30am. No word on procedure time yet. They won't tell us till around 4pm today. I personally would like to thank you all for being such a wonderful support center for my brother. You have all helped him tremendously!
Stacey (Mitch's sister)
Thanks! I am so glad that song helped you. I listened to it myself 4 more times today. I know that, and so much other stuff, will help me face my big day as well. Well, I feel like I have known you for a LONG time, though its probably about a month, if that.:) I wish you the best on Thursday. I hope to hear that the worrying and anticipation was indeed the worst part. I will not write you tomorrow as I know you have a lot to do and probably no time to check anyway. Know that we are all with you on Thursday. Talk to you on "the other side".
Mitch...will be praying for you...for the doctors and surgical team and for your surgery. You are in great hands and before you know it...you will be on the other side of this mountain and on the healing side. YAY!! We'll be all cheering you on from the pages of these HVJ.....May the God of Peace fill you many times over with the peace that only HE can give. God bless you.
I have been following your journal from the beginning, and I can tell you your "roller coaster" of emotions has been felt by every one of us who have had to face valve surgery. That's why this sight is so great.....everyone knows exactly how you feel! I just want to wish you all the best this week. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Godspeed and good luck!
Once you become a patient tomorrow for the cath., you will feel more comfortable for Thurs.
I felt that way. I hope you do to.
I promise you will be able to do so much more than you think you will.
In my thoughts today for an easy tomorrow and Thursday.
Mitch, I didn't think you were old enough to know "I Can See Clearly Now". It is absolutely impossible to listen to that song and not immediately pep up if you're feeling down.
I know you're feeling really pumped today and I'm glad you are going in at a high place. You have everything ready to go, so go climb that mountain!
I know you may not have time to respond to everyone, I just want you to know that you are in this lady's thoughts, prayers and in my heart (broken as it may be, lol). Stay strong, flirt with the nurses if necessary and remember you can do this!!!
