Great to get an update on Michelle's surgery. It's really good news that her valve was able to be repaired. It's good that you all saw the sense of leaving Michelle and forcing her to rest. She's probably still wound pretty tight. She is in my thoughts and prayers. Cheryl, Ontario

Thank you for the update. I had read Michelle's entries leading up to surgery and it was obvious she was so stressed and afraid. Having a repair was good news. You'll have to hold her down so she rests. Keep posting.

Hello fellow Okie! I can totally relate to your fear - I have been having up & down moments. One minute I am excited because I am looking forward to being able to get back to my active life without getting short of breath; the next minute I am crying rivers because I am terrified.
Hang in there! I will be praying for you too! My surgery is Feb. 22nd. Good luck!

Love you!

You are young and strong.
You gotta stay around because who will take of Robert?

Hi Michelle
As I write this you should now be in recovery and while it won't be Capt'n Bill's happy place just yet, it will be eventually. I pray you found that calm this morning we all talk about. You've been in my thoughts so I'm looking forward to hearing how you are doing. Cheryl, Ontario

Dear Michelle,
I am praying for you this morning and will be praying for you all day!! God is good and this has not caught Him by surprise. He made you, and the same hands that made you will also heal you! Your surgery will be successful!
There is a Psalm that I love that I wanted to share with you. Someone gave it to me before I had my cancer surgery: It's Psalm 112:7 - "He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord." We have nothing to fear because we trust in Him! I can't wait to see you!!
Love you tons!

Hi fellow Oklahoman,
You have take yourself to a happy place. Stick the ipod in your ears, put your feet in the water and like the song says (the clean version) sit in the sand. You can bet those knots, (if tied correctly) will come losse and your boat will drift away to a releaxed and repaired new heart! You will do fine. My wife thinks giving bith is way worse!

Honey, your girls will be fine. It is real learning experience for them. They will learn how precious life is and how dear loving Mothers are. It will give them an opportunity to take care of you for a change.

Hi Michelle,
Thinking of you today and sending calm and strong thoughts over the ocean! When you read this you'll be back in the land of the living with the biggest hurdle behind you. It is fantastic that you have a wonderful surgeon and that you trust him implicitly. My surgery is next Wednesday (metal valve)and I am getting to the stage where I am looking forward to it! You'll be a week in front of me so I can doggedly follow in your footsteps! Hang in there.
Warmest wishes

Hi Michelle
Take your I-Pod and a good book to try and get your mind on something else and leave yourself over to the good doctors. Before you know it you will be home and on the road to recovery. You will be in my prayers. Cheryl, Ontario

Michelle, This is a great way to do things for us, Now other than praying, being there for our girls, what can we do? I love you very much we have had so many good times, remember the time you, Angie, Myself & someone else went to Tulsa to a concert? it was a Christian one, I can`t remember who it was, what we were in, but we laughed so hard & had so much fun. You have always made things fun around you, we go back a long ways & we have a long future ahead. so just hang on GOD IS IN CONTROL, GIRL!!!
I LOVE YOU & AM PRAYING FOR YOU.

Hi Michelle,
Here's what you can do to relax. Buy a power ball ticket for tonight’s drawing, since this is your lucky week it will be the big winner. You will be so happy about winning; you will forget about the stress of surgery and it will be a smooth ride on choppy seas. You will be our prayers. I have my valve replacement scheduled for St. Patrick’s Day. How lucky is that?

Happy boating
