John posted a note for Lisa that says: Everyone, Lisa remains stable, but we have not yet seen the turnaround we are praying for. Lisa will remain on the ECMO until Friday to give her heart more time to rest and hopefully heart function will improve. There is good news though, they reduced the rate of the ECMO and her heart is taking its place and does not appear to be straining her and the dastardly breathing tube has been removed, so I was finally able to have Lisa speak to me. I am sorry that I did not post something sooner, but yesterday was a very long and trying day. Please continue praying for this wonderful woman and know that she is getting the absolute best care available. Being able to again talk to Lisa is truly heartwarming and I told her about all of you and how much everyone loves and cares for her and is supporting her in this battle.

John posted a note for Lisa that says: Everyone, Lisa had another good night and when I went in to see her this morning she was awake so that they could ask her to move her toes and when I started talking to her she moved her toes and then a tear came out of the corner of her eye and trickled down her face. It totally broke my heart to see her in such pain, but on the other hand, my heart sang as it was clear that Lisa knew I was there and was responding to my voice. Please keep lifting her up with your prayers as she is in no way giving up the fight no matter how steep the hill. I will try to continue to keep everyone posted, and know that Lisa's family and I are deeply moved by the support we are receiving from everyone and feel truly blessed.

John posted a note for Lisa that says: Everyone, Lisa is doing as well as she can and had a good day today and we are hoping that the ECMO pump is giving her heart the ability to heal from her ordeal. Lisa's color is good and lungs are clear and blood work good with very minor to no bleeding in the chest. We will know more on Monday when they do an echo on her heart again. For now they are keeping her stable and as comfortable as possible and your thoughts and prayers are so very much appreciated. This lady is putting up the most incredible fight and like her I will never give up hope for this wonderful woman. God bless each and every one of you.

John posted a note for Lisa that says: Everyone, Lisa has been moved via helicopter to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis so that an ECMO ventricular device can be installed to assist in strengthening the left ventricle, which was not functioning correctly due to the stress of the valve replacement and bypass surgery Lisa underwent yesterday. The ECMO device will take a lot of stress off the ventricle and get the heart beating properly as the heart strengthens and adjust to the new mechanical valve. Please continue to keep Lisa in your prayers, as she has now had her chest opened 3 times and she just keeps fighting.

Love ya, Sis! I am praying without ceasing. And since I believe that singing is praying twice, I sang with all I had, including a smile, at choir practice last night. As I stood before the choir I will admit that there were tears. And I struggled as I explained to the choir which songs would be practiced. But then, I remembered that mustard seed faith and chose to Magnify God in gratitude for His blessings on your behalf. He is showing Himself for you and I appreciate Him for that.

Lisa has had some complications due to her heart being extra sensitive. The valve part of the surgery went smoothly but post surgery she was having arrhythmias that sent her back to surgery to have a bypass. During the second surgery they decided it was best to do a second bypass. Post the second surgery she has not had any arrhythmia issues. She is in great hands! The staff has been amazing!! God and our dear friend Rebekah is looking out for her! Please continue to pray for her! She is strong and will get through this!!

I had aorta and sort vsle replacement last December. Did not have many symptoms but my cardiologist has monitored me every spring and based on echo tests decided it was time.
So thankful it is done and I am free to do whatever I wsnt. I know that God will be with you, your family and your surgical
team.
