So glad things came out so good! Thanks for telling us not to worry..seems like that is all I do and I think my blood pressure is up because of it! So I will try to think of you and know that it is a lot worse in our minds than it really is!
I am so glad you are home & well! When Stephanie let us know it was over & you did great.... I cried... For some darn reason I was more worried about your surgery than I was my own... lol...(really, I was crying cause Steph said he WAS good lookin' & I wasn't there!!! haha...)...
As others have said....each day gets better & better...just take it slow...and DO listen to your body.!
We have all missed you here at HVJ while you were gone....but at long last...you have climbed your mountain....and we are sure glad to have you back!!!
God Bless you friend...
So glad you are home and doing well. I knew you would!! Continued love and prayers sent your way as you fully recover. It gets easier each day and week by week you will feel better and better. Hugs Janis Kielbasa
HOME!!!!! That is my most favorite word on HVJ. You did it Linda! So awesome of you. Welcome home my friend.
Now rest. Then work to do a little more each time. Do what you can and do what your body needs (nap often!). The worst part is over. Pretty soon, you will be amazed at how totally amazing you are feeling. Life is good. Enjoy it to the max.
Linda, I am so glad that everything went so well for you. You have a lot of people praying for you and wishing you well. You are a strong lady and I know your recovery will take some time but you will be so much better at the end. I will miss your smiling face tonight but I know it will not be long before I see you. With love, Connie H
Linda! You are doing awesome! What good news. I'm thinking of you and praying for you daily. Hang in there and stay strong. Walk, walk walk, and take those pain pills for now. Hope to see the going home post soon!!!!
Mom said she had an xray done yesterday and the lung doctor had to come in and drain 2 pints of fluid out of lungs. He made an incision in her rib area to drain all the fluid. Ouch! My poor mama. Its made her fill even better though..
Her blood pressure continues to keep low so when she goes for her walks she sees gray. So we will have to keep praying for that blood pressure.
Todays challenge is to walk 4 times. she only made 2 out of the 3 walks yesterday because of her blood pressure being so low.
They are thinking she may get to go home on Monday.
Thank you Ricki for going to see her. Made her day. Its all she keeps talking about and her pretty orchard you brought.
Hi there Linda...
I was so glad that Ricki was able to see you in the hospital! I was so jealous...I want to give you a hug in person too!
And oh by the way....I took my pom poms to Rehab on Friday to get a pic on the treadmill like you asked...well I darn near scared the old geezers into heart failure (I am the youngest there lol).....not to mention the nurses...heck....I think they thought I was gonna do my jumps & the splits etc on that treadmill with the heart monitor on!!! haha...but don't worry...I WILL get you that pic!!! Just may have to do it when nurse rachet has the day off!...hahahaha
You be a good girl now....Ricki says you look great...just take it slow...we will all be here when you are ready!
Hi Linda, I saw Ricki's update that she saw you and your doing well. Great news! Don't worry you will get used to the sudden urges to graze! Moo!!!! Take it easy and listen to your body. No heroes, take the meds.
I am so happy that you are feeling better everyday. You will see that you will fell stronger everyday - probably not as fast as you would like it but you will see - it does happen. Word of the wise when you get home - walk as much as you can this is definitely helping me!
Ok I am back in Georgia and I got an update on mom. Actually I got to talk to her on the phone because she has been moved to her new room today. Shes sounds really good over the phone. Even though she said the meds have been making her see things like big flys on the ceiling. lol
Anyways she told me to let everyone on here know she is at Saint Francis room 2224. I have a pic she wants me to put up but not sure if I will be able.I will try later on tonight.
Linda, Each day will get easier and as the weeks pass you will be amazed at how well you are doing. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to reading your posts of recovery. Hugs from your fellow HVJ member. Janis Kielbasa
You will feel so much better when that IV is out of your neck. One day you will look back on all this and say..."I had what??"..until then...take it easy my friend....(but impress the heck out of Dr YumYum with your walking & breathing)! lol
Show him what a star you really are..
So happy to hear your sugery went well and you are progressing nicely. Push yourself BUT not too much . . . and don't get discouraged. Remember, this is a 2 steps forward, one step back kind of recovery. I know you'll do great!!
Thanks so much for leaving me a message, Stephanie, that Linda is doing well. Sara called this evening, so I probably missed your call again, but I told her your good news. I'm so glad you were able to be there with your parents. Tell Linda thanks for her last minute email and that I'm very happy that she got over that mountain and is mooving ahead to a full recovery with the Lord at her side. Love and prayers, Vaunda
Stephanie, what wonderful news. I am so thankful that everything went so well. Linda is a special lady and we all are blessed to know her. Please tell her our love and prayers are still with her and we know that God is good everyday extending His love, grace, and mercy to us always. With love, Connie H
Linda - Glad you are mooooooing on up to the other side of the mountain. Breathe, take your meds and remember be a tortoise not a hare in recovery. God bless you and your family. Julia & Charlie Messineo :-)
Yay!!! Welcome to the other side Linda! This side has all the green pastures, great for grazing, lol. Now on to recovery, remember to take all the pain meds they will give you, you can't take too much. Use the neck pillow even if you don't think you need it and breathe woman, breathe!!! You did it!!!!Thanks Stephanie for the update, try to make Linda behave herself and watch her with that good lucking doc!
Linda THE Tiger
Hey Linda & family!
Fantastic News!! Welcome to "our side"...the view is awesome....but you just take it slow....also those drugs are legal...use what ya need!! They will help with the walking etc. :).... Wow...now I can sleep tonight too!!! :):):):)
PS..Steph.....Dang, I knew I shoulda flown down there! lol
Fantastic news, now just remember to take all the pain management necessary and then concentrated on your recovery. No need to ski or vene sled down that mountain, take your time and enjoy the view. You deserve every bit with the effort and worry you have gone through. Now is the time to relax and take your time to a healthy recovery.
If you need those ski lessons I am happy to fly to Colarado to give them to you. Moove along there?
