You sound better each day and I am so glad to hear that.Youy have found the key...a positive attitude even though that is not always easy. You are doing so well! I laughed about the sneezing because in our house, we have to try very hard not to do that. For some strange reason, our dog, James, is scared to death if someone sneezes. He really gets upset. Have agood night!
I just wanted to let you know that 80 and I love you!! I got behind on reading your journal entries - so I just read about your most recent week and am delighted to hear about all your progress.
80 and I were thinking of visiting you the first weekend you were home, but in checking with Heather we decided that was too soon; it was only 1.5 weeks post-op. I'm happy to hear your energy level is improving. That means your body has more energy to heal as well.
It touches my heart to read stories of Rina and Ricochet and how they perceive everything that has gone on, and their interaction with you as you slowly heal. It makes me think of the two of them in their cheer leading outfits... cheering Mom on!!
Please know that 80 and I love you and are think of you and the girls!!
That humor and positive outlook that you possess and utilize is like money in the bank paying interest on your recovery time. I am delighted to read all that you CAN do. CAN DO. Yes, you can! You are a-m-a-z-i-n-g and I am blessed to have you as inspiration in my life. Thank YOU, Judy! Soft hugs for you and nose kisses for your girls~

Ok, scary thought.
You are going to be even more amazing now, even more empathy... you have been thru so much. The healing is getting faster and you are getting so much stronger. There is no stopping you now. Don't hate me for not telling you what was coming. Would that have helped? What matters is that we have this amazing person here now and we are all SO grateful. Welcome back girl! So glad to see you doing more CANS every day and glad God gave you those two doGs to guide you. Sending you the very best love and hugs.
Hi Judy from here in Ohio. Ubie, Fibber, Furrkitties and myself are so glad to hear you are healing. We have said continued prayers for your speedy recovery. Although we do not know you personally i feel as though we have a connection through Richochet. Please take care and know you have many, many friends cheering you on.
What a fabulous post Judy! Your improvement is... dare I say it.. PAWsome! The dogs are such good medicine in so many ways. Rina certainly found the human she was meant to help! A lot of prayers and good thoughts keep heading your way. We really do reap what we sow, it's no wonder there are so many people there to help you when you need it--- what goes around does come around. If I lived on the West Coast I know I would certainly be signing up to do whatever I could for you. Keep up the terrific work! Sharon from NY
Hehehe... Thanks so much for the smile. It's the little things in life to be thankful for :-) Who da thunk a sneeze could have so much worth. Here is to more pillowless sneezes and cough's ;-) Shari, Nevada and Karma
It is so awesome to read how well you are doing :-) Can't wait to see you back on the beach with your girls but I am sure that will be soon. Yes, you are blessed and so are we to know you and for all that you do for the world. Kisses and scritches to the girls and gentle hugs to yourself. Shari, Nevada and Little Karma too.
Both you and Ricochet are ANGELS!! May you have a VERY speedy recovery and God bless you for all of the INCREDIBLE work you do. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, Judy! So great to read of your progress each and every day! God has blessed you abundantly, and with all the fear and anxiety behind you, you are able to heal and still give lots of thought about reaching out to others. I'm sure you've got great plans for yourself, Ric and Rina once you are totally 100% feeling great. In the meantime, know that you continue in the prayers and positive thoughts of so many of us, even though we don't personally know you. Perhaps one day we'll all meet somewhere, and hug you, Ric and Rina!
So glad to hear you are feeling a bit better now. You are certainly on the healing path. Your entry about Ricochet & Rina from the other day...about Rina's helpfulness and how she was meant for you, made me tear up. It was so sweet. I will have to go back and find that video you posted of her baby pictures and watch it again (even though it makes me tear up a little too). So sweet and they do make great companions for you. You three fit like a glove.
I love your 'can do', but 'play it by ear' attitude. What a great way to approach life and recovery. You are giving yourself the compassion you have always given others and I am so glad you can love love yourself like you do the world around you. Just don't forgo night time companionship too soon, OK? I'm so glad you have a great recovery team. The last thing they would want is something to happen when they were not there. You are still and always will be one of my heroes and an inspiration to keep on keeping on.

I'm so happy to hear that you were able to make it to Ian's presentation. You and Ricochet have been instrumental in Ian's life. You helped him overcome his fears and put him back in touch with something that he loved doing with his father. Reconnecting with that emotional bond was the key to motivating Ian's progress and recovery. That warm feeling in your heart is what you give back tenfold to me and all of your family and friends and charities you support. You have made REMARKABLE progress since your heart surgery only TWO WEEKS ago! The courage, strength, and stamina to endure such pain and frustration is truly amazing. You really should give yourself more credit than you do but then again, your humbleness is one of the reasons so many people love you! Your KEEP GOING attitude will have you back to your normal life before you know it. I'm always looking forward to reading your next post!
Super news, Judy! You're gradually getting back into the swing of things! You, Ric and Rina do so much for others, and I know that the program yesterday would not have been complete without you and Ricochet in attendance. Keep on keepin' on, Judy! You're doing fantastic!
glad to hear you went to the presentation. and, that you rested all day before hand, too. don't forget you need to think up Easter costumes for the girls...i'm sure by that time you'll be out and about with them.
Judy, you continue to amaze me with your 'can do' spirit. I believe you and Ricochet were indeed 'meant' for each other; every day is another day to shine! I feel blessed to know you and to share your journey. Thank you for all the posting you take the time to do to keep us all in the loop. God speaks to me through my friends, be they two legged or four.
Sounds like you're really starting to get better! Even making it to Ian's presentation. I'm so happy to hear about your progress. Glad you still have helpers, as needed. Take it step by step to a full recovery!
Ah dear Judy. :) So much good news in the last couple of posts. And I have to tell you... we puppy raisers all say that "our" dogs end up where they are meant to be, whether they make it as a service dog, a guide dog or become a "keeper dog" as we call them. Obviously, this is so true. Rina is where she was meant to be. And of course, so is Ricochet. So great to hear all your good news.
So glad to hear how incredibly well you are doing. Someday soon I will need to bring Chutney over. We can take all three dogs out for a walk--I'll drive (since you can't) & you can walk them all up the big hill (since I can't) you wrote about the other day. Hopefully the three dogs will have lots of fun & wear themselves out. And, hopefully we can have some fun as well (not to mention wearing ourselves out). I can also, too, bring you more citrus now that you're actually eating again.
It just warms my heart to read your updates and see how GREAT you are doing. And I agree w/ your comment about having two wonderful dogs...yes you do! Ricochet has done so much for others, with your unselfish guidance and determination. And Rina, is just the perfect helper for you, especially now. Prayers for continued healing.
It is a pleasure to sign your gueat book. I wish you all the best. It will be 3 yrs. for me march 27th. It's been tough at times but people like you & Adams blog has helped me sooooo, much. God Bless. Diane
So happy to read the encouraging news today. I love your Can Do list and Rina's attentiveness brings tears to my eyes. Keep on keeping on. I am thinking of you and praying for your speedy recovery in Virginia.
WAY TO GO Judy! Rina truly seems to have been sent just for you, as was Ricochet, so now we all "know" you and care about you and send you tons of prayers and good energy! You are amazing- keep up the great work!
Judy, It was interesting to read your blog I also had a mitral valve replacement on the 19th Jan 2011 - very scary stuff!! Although I'm physically improving its taking my head a wee bit longer to catch up but hopefully that'll happen soon!! Good luck to you and keep well

Judy, wow girl you seem to be recovering very fast. It must be all the great friends you have spending time with you and the girls. Nothing seems to hold you back. Remember to take care of yourself first so you can go back to what you love at 100%!!!
Hope to see you out and about soon.
Hugs to all. Dina
