Wonderful news, Judy! You're getting back quickly into the "flow" of your life, and I know Ric and Rina are so happy to have "Mom" getting back into the swing of things. Congrats to Ric for her awesome fund-raising efforts. And blessings to you for all you, Ric and Rina do to help others. You wonder why you're healing so quickly? You're needed very much in your community to lead the efforts to help others not as fortunate as others. God bless you, Ric and Rina for your efforts. You all are in my daily prayers.
Blessings,

So happy things are going so well, Judy. What is it with the burying and digging the bones up? Mine like their rawhides and toys covered with some yucky. They become so much more appealing then (to them...not to their mama). :)

Judy, You have come such a long way! Good for you! Continue healing so well.

You've come a long, long way, Judy!! Those before/after pictures surely attest to that. Soon, though, you'll be able to handle the leashes, and those who are on the ends of the leashes! Meantime, I'm sure the girls are enjoying the "put and take" of the bones!
Prayers continuing for you and the girls.

Judy,
It's so great to see you're doing so well. I'm sure every outing helps you feel more normal. And you're halfway to getting to hold the girls' leashes again! Hoorah!
Thanks for keeping us all updated!

Glad to hear and see you're doing so well. You can always build a golf course in your backyard with all the holes Ric has dug while you've been recuperating. That's what I keep saying I'm going to do with my yard when I look at all the holes my gang has dug. :)

Judy,
Oops forgot to sign my name :-/ I will repost so you know what nut thought of this. Shari and Nevada :-)
So glad you are doing so well. I just had to comment on the sudden curly hair :-) My theory is that it is God's way of helping you out so you don't have to break out the curling iron and exhaust yourself trying to feel pretty. Just wash, scrunch and go :-) Hehehe could be true :-)

Judy, it's so wonderful to hear how you're progressing in your recovery! Thanks for keeping us all updated. You are an inspiration!
About your hair, 1998 was one of the most stressful years of my life up to that point. I went to work in Colorado for 6 mos, where the humidity is much lower than here in Texas. When I got back to Texas and the ensuing humidity, I realized my once stick-straight hair was quite wavy - and it still is today! I always kinda thought it was a hormonal change due to all of the stress I was under that year. I've never found the real answer; I just embrace my wavy hair! :-) My friend who is a breast cancer survivor says that I have chemo-hair, only without the chemo. LOL
Have a wonderful day! Blessings to you and the girls!!

A big two thumbs up, Judy!
So touching the way you gave Rina quality time too. Seems to have worked out best for the both of you!
Just think, how much did you pay to get your hair curled now? That's one extravagant hair style, lol!
On April 11, 2011...
Judy, do you know how many people would trade their straight hair for curly? Of course, getting it the same way you did is not the method of choice! So glad you and Rina had some time together, just relaxing together with a nice walk. You are so blessed to have such wonderful creatures of God in your life, even if Miss Ric is a little too energetic at times!!
My prayers and positive thoughts remain with you daily, and you are prayed for every Sunday at St. David's Episcopal Church, Cullowhee, NC. (St. David's is the Episcopal parish for Western Carolina University.)

Judy,
So glad you are feeling better and able to go to beach events again! The amount of work you do to help others is superhuman, and it's amazing that you were able to continue helping Ricochet raise funds for others while you were recovering. You are truly inspirational!

Am so happy that you are on the mend & able to move about. And even better, flying solo! Thru it all, You've been an inspiration. It couldn't have been easy to share as honestly as you have - but only eternity will reveal how many folks may give in to having surgery because you did, and that is a very big deal. I always wondered why my dad's doctors didn't offer OHS to him - only after he died did I find correspondence from them encouraging him to overcome his fear and have the heart surgery. I really wish he could have received encouragement like you've given. If so we could still have him here with us. Thanks for sharing - it WILL help many people to make the best decision!

I've read each entry and been in awe of your recovery. Having had major lung surgery years ago (and being "cracked open" as well) I have had empathy and understanding as you've recovered. First time I've signed the guest book! I wonder why you picked the hospital/surgeon you picked after pretty extensive research.

Wonderful news, Judy! You're getting back into the "swing of things" at the beach with Ric and with Rina. How very blessed you are to have those two wonderful creatures of God whose sole aim in life is to love and help others in your life. Sharing Ric and Rina with so many people is surely a blessing to them, and I know a blessing to you, too. Have a wonderful time at the beach, and give Ric and Rina a great big hug from me! You are so blessed!
You and the girls remain in my prayers and positive thoughts as your healing races towards 100% plus!

I'm glad your recovery is going so well. I know how you felt about finally being able to drive. After my shoulder surgery, I couldn't drive for awhile and was overjoyed when I could finally go to the store without having to ask someone to take me. I hope you have a great time at this weekend's event! I'll be sure to donate toward's Rina's cause as soon as pay day rolls around. Debbie Samler, Prince Frederick, MD
