Yay that's great news and you're gonna love the lift chair. I bought one for my dad when he had heart surgery, it was the greatest thing. I kept it around for quite sometime and my Golden Retriever would lay with me on it. When I wanted him off I simply started raising it until he slid off....LOL!
Love, Janet and the Boys
Amazed you're coming home already, but thrilled for you. Careful about lifting, and hope you have someone coming to check and help do things you're not allowed to do yet. Take the time to fully recover. Sending all best thoughts for a speedy and uneventful recovery !

I am curious . . . didn't you know you needed bypass surgery before your heart surgery? They usually do a cardiac cath prior to surgery to get a look at the arteries - so your comment surprised me. Unless you actually knew about it, but had not mentioned it in the journals. If your cholesterol is normal, to what did they attribute your artery problems? You look so young for bypass surgery.
Praying for your recovery every day, Judy. God's hands are on you.
Looks like Ric and Rina are really enjoying themselves, but I know it's hard not to see your babies...even when there's no worry at all about how well they're being cared for and loved. It's just missing them, their unconditional love and sweet hugs and kisses. My babies had to stay with my parents (being spoiled silly) while I found a house here in Houston. Oh boy, I missed them like my arm had been cut off. They were great. I was the mess.
I have 2 friends who recently had major heart surgery as well, and oh boy, they're both feeling so much better after healing up some and are able to enjoy life again. Praying and believing that you'll be the same way.
Maybe ya'll (oops, my Southern is coming out) could also ask for some donations for the American Heart Association. Though I know you don't seem to want to ask for anything for yourself. As I'm sure you know well, heart disease is so prevalent, and seems to be even more so these days. It would help a lot of people. More research, more healing!
On a different note altogether, I lived in Vista, CA for a few years many years ago, in another lifetime (LOL) and loved it! You're in a good area for great medical care. That can be a comfort in itself.
i know you are anxious to go home...and it must seem like FOREVER since you've hugged the kids. make sure you take it easy...you'll still get worn out....
don't make me send POI (my 15 # cat) to watch over you
Glad to hear you'll be going home soon. Great News!! Take your time and heal fully. Don't do too much too fast. Stay well and we continue to enjoy hearing about your progress. God bless all of you. Teresa

Dear Judy, congratulations on your speedy recovery! Please rest well after your transfer home so you can stay stable and not have to go back! Like my grandma use to say, "when you've been through a wringer you are going to feel flat for a while." Don't hesitate to call. My number is 760 753 2162. Is there a schedule of people coming to stay with you after your brother is gone home? Please give up on being proud and independent till you have your strength back. Let us give to you as you have so generously given your time and energy to all Ricci's causes. my cell number is 760 420 0967.
So glad to read that you have been progressing daily and should be going home tomorrow. When I was in the hospital for surgery a few years ago, a nurse said that the hospital stabilizes you, but you go home to recover. So true! Once you are in more comfortable surroundings, you will start to heal more quickly.
Wishing you only the best of everything every day.
Awww, Judy, you are too precious! Thanks for the update. Much love and soft gentle cyber hugs for you. Those girls of yours wanna see you as much as you wanna see them, I'm sure. But they are so lucky to have so many people care for them almost as much as you do! Take it easy, dear heart. No pun intended~
Judy - Logan, Bella & Orion (fans of Ric's, of course) and Sonny & I (their humans) have been sending healing thoughts your way, and will continue til it's no longer needed! so relieved to read of your steady improvements, that's terrific. I'm sure these have been very scary times, but take comfort in knowing that you're doing the best you can, for now. and, let people help you as much as possible, even tho that's hard!! keep getting well... Kim
I am sure the Doctor can answer your questions. Make sure your brother takes notes for you since meds can make you loopy..LOL! Been there too! I would have the same questions & don't be shy to ask anything! We miss you and can't wait to visit & help. Are U going to take a little stroll on the ward today? Easy goes it kiddo! Lot of Love, Joy, Sandy, & the kids. OXOX
Judy, I know this must be so tough for you but please hang in there as you will find the strength that you never knew you had to get you through this and so much love. So glad the tube is out and you will soon be on the mend. I know you will do so much better once Rina and Ric can give you those fur kisses again. Dogs always seem to know how we are feeling. So many of us are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.Take good care of you. Hugs to you!
This should make you smile...
The oxygen masks that Sit 'n Stay donated to the Long Beach Fire Dept. after Ric helped with the photo shoot saved a dog's life last week! Ric helped save another dog without even knowing it!! We can all breath easier now :)
Hang tough, Judy... you will make it through this. So sorry you have to endure the pain... is there some reason you can not take the pain meds? If not, go ahead and take them; it is too hard on the body to be in constant pain. You'll heal and recover quicker if you can get some relief so you can rest. Just an observation and my experience, for what it's worth :) Good thoughts being sent your way.. Teresa and Kermit from Indiana
Have been praying for you all along - knowing that you rest within the hands of God and are on the way to full and complete healthy recovery!!!! I am so happy to participate in your progress and send you love and support. God Bless always and most of all "Thank You for the Gift of You and all you do!!!"
Judy, I am so sorry for the pain and suffering you have had to endure over the past couple of days. I pray your pain fades quickly and you have a very speedy recovery. Many prayers are coming your way from not only my family, but from so many people. You and Ric are truly amazing and I know the Lord will guide you and give you the strength needed for your road ahead. Indeed, you truly are an amazing person...Take care and God Bless...Dawn and Devoted
I'm so glad to hear that the chest tube is out. It does sound like it was an invasive surgery, but hopefully you're all set now!
I'm glad to see your updates as well, and all of your FB community is so happy your brother and SIL are there to help. Lisa has been fabulous at keeping us up to date, and so has Jessica with keeping us in tune with the fur babies.
glad to hear you have all those chest tubes out, and that you're already able to type. Sorry to hear that it's been so painful..... thought they just drug you up, so you're not in such pain...... have you seen Ric and Rina over Skype already?
Thinking of you. sending you my best..
PS: Our friend Jo from LA comes visiting me in a couple of weeks here in Albuquerque...... and I already have signed up for the Oct surf clinic in Pismo :))))
Ah Judy, don't worry about us. We'll keep sending messages, you answer when you can. All anyone really wants is for you to get better so don't worry about whether you do or don't answer. Healing is good enough for us all, I do believe. I think I can feel confident in speaking for everyone. It does seem you are doing better and better, bit by bit and I am so very thankful for that. Time to take care of you because without that, you can't do all the caring you do for others, which I know you want. So be patient. :) <<>> Judy
