Yay that's great news and you're gonna love the lift chair. I bought one for my dad when he had heart surgery, it was the greatest thing. I kept it around for quite sometime and my Golden Retriever would lay with me on it. When I wanted him off I simply started raising it until he slid off....LOL!

Judy,
I am curious . . . didn't you know you needed bypass surgery before your heart surgery? They usually do a cardiac cath prior to surgery to get a look at the arteries - so your comment surprised me. Unless you actually knew about it, but had not mentioned it in the journals. If your cholesterol is normal, to what did they attribute your artery problems? You look so young for bypass surgery.

Praying for your recovery every day, Judy. God's hands are on you.
Looks like Ric and Rina are really enjoying themselves, but I know it's hard not to see your babies...even when there's no worry at all about how well they're being cared for and loved. It's just missing them, their unconditional love and sweet hugs and kisses. My babies had to stay with my parents (being spoiled silly) while I found a house here in Houston. Oh boy, I missed them like my arm had been cut off. They were great. I was the mess.
I have 2 friends who recently had major heart surgery as well, and oh boy, they're both feeling so much better after healing up some and are able to enjoy life again. Praying and believing that you'll be the same way.
Maybe ya'll (oops, my Southern is coming out) could also ask for some donations for the American Heart Association. Though I know you don't seem to want to ask for anything for yourself. As I'm sure you know well, heart disease is so prevalent, and seems to be even more so these days. It would help a lot of people. More research, more healing!
On a different note altogether, I lived in Vista, CA for a few years many years ago, in another lifetime (LOL) and loved it! You're in a good area for great medical care. That can be a comfort in itself.
Thanks for all you do!

Dear Judy, congratulations on your speedy recovery! Please rest well after your transfer home so you can stay stable and not have to go back! Like my grandma use to say, "when you've been through a wringer you are going to feel flat for a while." Don't hesitate to call. My number is 760 753 2162. Is there a schedule of people coming to stay with you after your brother is gone home? Please give up on being proud and independent till you have your strength back. Let us give to you as you have so generously given your time and energy to all Ricci's causes. my cell number is 760 420 0967.

Judy,
So glad to read that you have been progressing daily and should be going home tomorrow. When I was in the hospital for surgery a few years ago, a nurse said that the hospital stabilizes you, but you go home to recover. So true! Once you are in more comfortable surroundings, you will start to heal more quickly.
Wishing you only the best of everything every day.

Hang tough, Judy... you will make it through this. So sorry you have to endure the pain... is there some reason you can not take the pain meds? If not, go ahead and take them; it is too hard on the body to be in constant pain. You'll heal and recover quicker if you can get some relief so you can rest. Just an observation and my experience, for what it's worth :) Good thoughts being sent your way.. Teresa and Kermit from Indiana

I'm so glad to hear that the chest tube is out. It does sound like it was an invasive surgery, but hopefully you're all set now!
I'm glad to see your updates as well, and all of your FB community is so happy your brother and SIL are there to help. Lisa has been fabulous at keeping us up to date, and so has Jessica with keeping us in tune with the fur babies.
