Hi Judy ... Thanks for all of your postings to us. Glad u are home and doing fairly well. I'm sure Rinna and Ric will be sooo glad to see u
today. I hope you continue to get stronger each and and have less pain also. Prayers to you and your family and friends. Joan B
I hope this note finds you well and that your healing process is continuos and thorough.
As I now approach the big 3 month mark, the actual surgery seems long ago. Its those first few weeks that are a bit tough but you will get thru it one step at a time.
I was wondering how you were able to get home instead of going to a rehab facility--your fabulous 4 friends have come to your rescue! That is my greatest fear, not having the help come through when I need it (when my mother died none of my friends were able to take the dogs so they had to be boarded which was a trauma for them!). I'm glad you'll be seeing the girls today, i love seeing their pics and reading Ricochet's posts!
Judy, So glad to hear you are coming along nicely and that you finally got your babies home :) I laughed when I read your post about wanting to see dog hair wafting around the house....I can certainly relate...and would miss that also :) My furbabies and I are still sending you all our love and positive energy....and we imagine wrapping you and the furbabies in a healing warm cuddly soft blanket to keep you safe, happy and to allow the healing to progress. Our thoughts are with you Judy!

Yay Judy!!! I am so happy that you are doing good and are back home with your babies! I'm sure Ric and Rina missed their Mom! God bless your family for being there for you. I am praying for a very speedy recovery for you
No problem Judy... I completely understand why no response. Reading Lisa's posts and yours of how you were doing told me you weren't really up for visitors. I have had several family members and a few friends who have had the by-pass and it is tough. Too many visitors is not good. Although I think I would have liked to be there to help kick the nurses butt when you were trying to let her know you were AWAKE and feeling PAIN. I think you are doing amazing after just a week. You will be back in the surf with your amazing girls in no time :-)
sounds like things are moving in the right direction, although i'm sure it is not always easy to feel that way. it's great that every day you sound stronger - that's a lot of progress for just one week.
i'm sure your fur-babies will be as delighted to see you as you will be to see them. that will make for a very exciting day!
take good care- get LOTS of rest- enjoy your girls-
Good Morning, Judy...so glad you are now home and the "girls" are about to be back as well. Your journal is most interesting as is my daily visit to Richocet on Facebook! Hug the girls and dream of the beach! It's very healing. martha & "lucy" geoffroy
Yeah... so happy you are now home :-) I was going to come visit you in the hospital but never heard back if it would be okay. I don't think you needed visitors anyway though cause your family was the best. Hehehe you don't need to shut up. We all like hearing daily updates on how you are doing. Kisses and hugs and see you sometime this year at the beach. Shari and Nevada
judy...sam mcfarland here....it's difficult to believe you can have this difficult surgery and within a week you're home.
perhaps they had their fill of listening to you...BOL.
it's been wonderful to read your journal and posts on FB....almost like we're more than virtual friends.
what a wonderful circle of friends you had to assist you...it's karma coming back to you, as you give so very much !
hi, judy -- sounds like some rough times but so glad all has went well as far as the surgery itself . . . .hope you continue to improve daily and know seeing the girls will help you and them so much.

You are able to type in great form now! I "liked" hearing your story. Jeez Judy, you don't stay under and your swelling issue and your neck!!! And you gave 'em hell when you could...LOL! Does it hurt to laugh? Then just grin OK?
Have a great day at home today and enjoy Ric and Rina when they get to come over! (Hope to see some pics or video of that!)
We think you are great,
Tammy Lawrenz and Sadie
Judy, I am so delighted you're home! You will heal so much quicker there! You are indeed fortunate that your brother was able to be with you. What a blessing! I hope that there are people who will be calling and stopping by to help you do the things you'll still find painful. As far as being the "patient from hell," don't worry about it. You underwent a very major surgical procedure and you had the right to be just as difficult as you needed to be to get what you needed to be comfortable. The nursing staff does not sound real compassionate, and that's sad. Please know that you are continuing in my prayers, and I know that in just a few short months, you and the girls will be back at the beach, "doing your thing," and serving and working for others. God bless you, Judy, and thank you so much for the updates!
So glad to hear that you are home. I know that my mother-in-law seemed to heal so much faster once she got to her own home. Thanks to all who have been updating while you were in the hospital and keeping all of your "millions" of friends in the loop. Our family will continue to keep you in our prayers as you heal daily. God bless, Ruth C - Fredericksburg, VA
Welcome home, Judy! I know it feels like paradise to you and then when the girls get there, it will be perfect. You have made remarkable progress and will pray that it continues. Take good care of yourself.
Yeah Judy is BACK online!
I'm so sorry that you had all those complications and pain. ICU nurse should know that if you are alert that you will want to communicate and provide you with a pad and pen immediately. Good thing you didn't lose your voice! I hope you have a team to help you for the next few days after your brother is gone. Let them take good care of you so you can rest enough to heal quickly. YOu hate to rest I'm sure, but it is necessary for healing don't you think? LOL I'm going to take my own advice and head to bed.
Love Annie and Roxie Golden Gem.
PS look back in your messages for my phone numbers. I have all the time in the world, and I love to help, as long as I am given clear direction. I'f you have an opening on your recovery team, I'm more than available.
Judy, It is so good to hear from you and I love that your "long winded"!! I'm so sorry that your experience with the nurses and doctors wasn't as good as it should have been! Knowing you, however, you'll take this situation and turn it into a positive, just like you do every other situation. You are an incredible person and an inspiration to all who know you literally and virtually!! Lots of love, positive thoughts and prayers from our family to you and yours!! PS - Are you sure you're ready for Ric and Rina??? Those girls are going to be so happy to see you!!
Ah, Judy, Judy, Judy! You are full of piss and vinegar today, my friend! Hip hip HOORAY for THAT! I think your joie de vivre is gonna go a loooong way in speeding up your recovery! I absolutely LOVE your amazing spirit. Take it a day at a time; that's all any of us have anyhow. Hugs from the East County line~
Glad to hear you are back home in your own bed! I bet you can't wait to see your girls!!!
You poor thing, if I lived there, I would of come to the hospital and gave your brother a break. I would of made the nurses mind and made sure you were comfortable and most important, heard!
That was great your brother was with you and your sister-in-law was so sweet, keeping us all informed, how you were doing each day. You have a great family and you already know, how many friends you have all over the world.
We love you, Ric, and Rina and we can't wait to hear about your reunion with them tomorrow!
I hope someone is there with you while you get better besides your girls or at least, someone to check in on you.
LOVING YOU FROM ONTARIO, CANADA
CONNIE AND CHARLIE XOXO
Judy I am very glad you came through the surgery ok. Sounds like you were on a roller coaster ride trying to tell the nursing staff what was going on. I feel the only way people can relate is to unfortunately actually go through it themselves Maybe they should require them to play act it out and they will be able to understand things better. Keep strong and continue to build your strength up. I was really praying for you, the surgeons hands and the nursing staff. I think I should have put more emphasis on the nurses. Glad you are headed toward recovery. Take Care.
Being home is TRULY the BEST medicine....rest and just look around and take it all in---HOME....this will truly but your healing into HIGH GEAR!!! You are one COURAGEOUS woman Judy.....GOD BLESS!!!!!!!
Laureen (in "there's STILL SNOW" New York!!! BOL!!!!)
Oh Lordy, Judy! I cringed reading your update about your ordeal! Glad you gave them hell! So glad you are back in your own environment! I can just picture Rina and Ric when they arrive home tomorrow! I'm sure their presence will help you heal faster. Like a previous entry wrote, you take care of yourself!
Prayers are coming your way for a quick recovery! ~ Liz, Opie & Jordan
