Recovery is slow work but it sounds like you are doing well. I remember taking Jerry 3 times a week for 3 hours. It seemed we we had developed a new life style but we finished.
Before you know it you will be back at work on on the dance floor. See you there soon.
Hi John. Sounds like you are motivated with those 2x25-minute walks a day. I'm 5-1/2 months post op for same condition and go on 5 hr mountain hikes and even more craziness (swim a mile, run 6, etc). Because I kept moving the bar week to week and pushed myself in rehab. As long as you are getting stronger and building stamina, keep upping it up. But listen to your body so you don't overdo it. In no time you are going to be in great shape. All the best to you, sir. -- DVB
Thanks for the update John! Sounds like you are getting good care from your family. At least you can keep up with things on your computer. I know you miss kicking up your heels and doing other things, but do what the doctor instructs! Praying for a quick recovery. Jan
I'm really happy for how well you have done John, and now that you are home I am sure recovery will go even faster. Thank God for all that can be done to make our lives so much better. You will continue in my prayers until you are up dancing again.
I have been following your progress by reading your Journal. That is a great way to keep everyone informed. It was good to see your own entries being made again. Hope every day and week is better than the previous. It seems to be an extreme way to justify a little time off!
Hey John, BF, I have been thinking about you every day but didn't know how to get hold of you. I am so happy to hear everything went well & you are feeling a little better. I can't believe it's only 7 days since the surgery & you are already at Johan's. I thought you'd be in the hospital a lot longer.
I have to go to my Mom's for a few days but will be back on the weekend so will check for more updates then.
Take care & say hi to Johan & Maria for me.
Lots of love, Pat
Hi John! So glad your surgery went well and you are well on your way to full recovery! Maria did a great job keeping everyone updated. Get plenty of rest and save me a dance, because I expect you to let me know as soon as you can get back on the floor!! Love, Lisa
Glad to know that you are home, in a bit less pain and sitting up. I like the updates; they keep me from worrying. Keep on working at building your strength. I am glad that your son is able to be there for you and able to help. Should you need something and he is not able to help, please let me know. I am off on Fridays and could drive you to an appointment it that be the case. Cathy Scavone and I thought about bringing you a meal soon; we have to have a list of do's and dont's....take care and hope you are back on your feet soon! Trish
I think I know what the problem is... you have a heart of gold. Prices of gold are so high they're trying to get some of it out! Beter watch them! Hey, man, we're thinking about you. You get better and take the utmost care.
Hoping that your first full day post surgery is going well. Don't let the nurses move you too quickly. Lesson learned for my dad! :) Miss you here at work an are praying for a quick recovery. Don't worry about us here at work, it'll still be here when you're ready to come back.
