Joe, So interesting to read the events of the past week through your eyes. (Oh wait, your eyes were closed much of the time) through you perceptions. Glad you are home I know you will recover and recuperate by leaps and bounds.
Also I want to say thanks to Shelly and Eric for the nice visit, I enjoyed them very much.
And I want to tell Jodie that I enjoyed my time with her and was so glad that she came to the hotel that first night with me. We had fun visiting and actually found the hotel near the Gentlemen's Club! Thanks Jodie
I also enjoyed talking to Jim and Cielo.
Spending time with Luz Maria was just great, we got to know each other even better. I think she is a terrific mother to Joey and Mia and also a terrific wife for you. Your family is beautiful.
I am so glad that everyone involved helped you to make this difficult decision now. Your are done with the surgery, it is not hanging over your head any more and life begins again.
Have fun with your family and your life Joe.

Joe,
Glad to hear that you are doing so well, even if the hospital stay is a bit longer than you had hoped for. We hope to see you soon. Please let me know if there is anything at all that you or Luz need, we can be there asap...
Gerrine,
Thanks so much for the updates...it was wonderful seeing you again!! I hope your trip back to Utah was uneventful. :)
The "fever" thing put things back 2-3 days but during those days I was also further recovering in a clean safe place. I lost a bit but I gained something for it too. I think of you and your family every day. Just knowing that you are out there in the world does my heart good.
Having Gerrine here was a godsend. I am glad that my familiy was able to talk to each other a little.

Hi Joe,
I didn't get to see you today but as I said yesterday you are going to be fine. I know how much anxiety there is especially the day before and day of. Please just relax and know that you are going to come out of this better than before you had the procedure done. You are in good hands and in my prayers. I will make sure I come to see you, at which time i'll tell you "told you so":). Get a good nights sleep and see you in a couple of days.
Chris Malik
Joe Gimbel Chris, this time being 10/19, maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee and compare notes.

Thank you so much for the kind words and all the help. I will keep in touch as much as I can.

Joe, I am so glad that I'm coming out there. You have put yourself in good hands, you've made the hard but excellent decision, you are preparing with diet and excercise.
You will be better. There will be hard work, so what? You will be capable of it and it will produce results that will amaze you. It will make you stronger. You will not be getting status quo, you will be getting so much better. I am excited for you. Ted says to remind you that when you feel anxious empty your lungs and then intake breath deeply through your nose, exhale through your mouth emptying your lungs each time. Breath with your belly. It will help and you, and you can do it in the car or at your desk. It is calming.
We are thinking about you every day, all the time. Will see you soon. Love Gerrine

Joe! I am so glad that you found your way to help when you needed it. My thought is that you will fare surgery and recuperation well and then begin to feel better than you have in decades. You will walk around telling people "This surgery gave me back my life", not just because it saved your life, but because suddenly everything will be so much easier. You will be back in the game and enjoying your family and your work with more energy and more anticipation than you've been able to have for a long time.
