Well, since this is all about you, I GUESS it is ok you didn't post while nauseous. But know, we were all thinking about you.

You totally rocked this! Welcome home. That is still my favorite word to read on an HVJ ("home").

Rest now my friend. Welcome to recovery and the other side of surgery. I am sure your family is thrilled to have you home.

All the best,
-Mitch Friedman

A lap or two around the ward! Lovin' it. Just keep moving as much as you can. I was able to do 6 miles over 3 days before they kicked me out of the ICU after my mitral valve repair. The mild stress of exercise jump starts the healing pathways. Woo-hoo! -- DVB

Hey Jimmy, Good to hear that you are out and about!! Don't be giving rides to other patients, I don't think the nurses would appreciate it! I don't know if you have sneezed yet.. have the pillow ready!. I was 15 days post-op before it happened to me. Not too bad, I survived. Prayers are with you for continued recovery.

Wow thats great news. I think between you, Mitch and Nancy, you are all in a race. I feel like this is one big horse race we are all running. It seems like each one is a little faster than the other one and I am the last one saying wait for me lol. But that is ok although I do want to get it over with and get to the other side of that mountain. Take care.

Blythe, thanks for keeping us updated. I know it is hard to see Jimmy the way he is right now, but the tube will be out soon, he likely won't remember it and the real recovery can begin. I hope you are feeling some element of relief. And, I hope you have eaten something today. You need your strength too!!!!

Blythe, you have the hard job. I am told by my family the waiting during surgery is the hardest part. Jimmy has the easy job. He just has to show up and go to sleep.

I wish you both much strength tomorrow. Jimmy is ready, he will rock this. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Thanks so much for posting for Jimmy. We are all anxious for him but in a good way. We have the same surgeon so I know we are in good hands.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

It will be so wonderful for us to get this behind us before spring.

Take care and tell Dr. Andrews we will be adding his name to recommended surgeons soon!
