Dear Jeanie,
I continue to pray for you & your family. I have asked others to pray for you too. We appreciate your messages-Robert or John keep me updated. Remember this prayer of St. Jeanne Jugan: "Blessed be God, Glory be to God, Thank you my God." I say that frequently, & everything smooths out- it really helps!! Love & Prayers, Mary Ellen Trausch
Hi Jean,
You will be going in one week before me! I will be praying for you. I just saw in readers digest that It's better to have surgery on a Tuesday then on a Friday! We both will be having ours in Tuesdays!
I still can't believe it either. Lets get on our knees, then put our boots on and march into that place, knowing the best is yet to come!
For therapy, I have been doing some art work with bible verses that include heart in them. calling it Art for Hearts...check out my photos and I hope they will encourage you!

Hi Jean,
Thank you so much for leaving Steve a message. We were so scared as well counting down the days but the closer we got the more we accepted the path we had to take. It has been an incredible journey and now that he is home recovering I still can't believe we went through it all. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and recovery.

I want to wish you the very best with your surgery. I will be having surgery in May. It seems so scary but the odds look pretty good for us. It will be so nice to be healthy again. Keep us updated on how you do.

Jean - I just signed up to follow you! Strange thing, I'm from Kansas, too (Salina)! I live in Chicago now and have been here for many years, but I always have (and always will) consider myself to be a Kansan. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks again for checking in on me, too!

We are thinking of you and praying for you! I love the Iron Girl comparison ;-) St. Luke's is a great hospital...you are in good hands.
Hi Jean, I just saw your post and you are on the right track. You will find our for this whold process the waiting is the worse part of it. You will do fine. I had my surgery for aortic stenosis and annuersym of ascending aorta last Sept. My life is so much better, but I am still recovering but like is so good and I am so blessed. Read some of the journals here, it will help. If you have any questions just let me know. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck.

TO ALL - Please take 5 minutes to read the Prayer of St. Gianna Beretta Molla and her amazing story of selfless love:

JEAN, Never forget the HUGE amount of love & support you have available to you & all your family in the next months. The words "We are here to help" are not just superficial, meaningless, nice things to say-they're TRUE! Also take comfort that heaven's "ears" are not full of wax but have you & all your concerns spoken in them frequently. And YES, with the abdication of her throne, the return of the sash, and for all your continued good deeds, you ARE the FAVORITE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW!!!
Prayers & Love, Robert & Jillian Trausch
Jean Trausch Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, Robert and Jillian

Hi Jeannie,
Praying for a quick and complete recovery! However, if you recover too quickly, you may have to bone up on your acting skills to keep Mike busy. I'll have to let him know what constitutes an acceptable "bedside sick table." Let me know your favorite magazines. :)
Love,
Ann
Jean Trausch Thanks for the prayers and the tip, Ann! Love, Jeanie

Hi Jean,
Welcome to HVJ!
Great idea getting a 2nd opinion. You want to be 100% confident in your surgeon and the surgical approach. Seeking an experienced surgeon is also a great idea.
If you need anything along the way, please let me know.
Keep on tickin!
