Thanks again, Brooke, for all the updates about Jamie. We are so thankful she is home, now and Pray she will continue to feel better every day. It will still take some time, but she can rest and recuperate in peace in her own home. Tell Jamie to keep in touch with us, so we will know her progress. Home! I love that word. I know how good it makes me feel to read you are home, so I can only imagine how amazing it feels to you to be there. Welcome home and welcome to the other side of surgery.

I am counting my days until Feb 2 and savoring every story of recovery I can read. For now, all I can do is live vicariously through others to get distracted from my wait. The best advice I have read is measure recovery in weeks, there are sure to be some little set backs, but overall you will be getting stronger and stronger. Do the work and listen to your body. I know it's wonderful to be home!! Rejoice! the worst is over and you are a survivor! I will let you settle in and then come visit you when you are feeling up to visitors. Get some much needed rest. There is no rest in a hospital. The nurses interupt you every 15 minutes and then wonder why the patients are exhausted and grumpy! Rest up. The best is yet to come!

We were so glad to get the update and to hear Jamie is doing so good, we were afraid when we didn't hear yesterday, maybe she was worse, so we are relieved to know everything is ok. If I had of had a phone number, I would have called to see about her. Hope she is continuing to do good today and that she will get home tomorrow. I am glad you got a break yesterday, I know how trying that is on the family. I don't really know you, but through these messages, I almost feel I do. You are a good daughter and the whole family has been great ( I can tell she has a wonderful family). You are all very blessed.

Sorry to hear about the A Fib.,but I'm sure they will get that straightened out with medication. Her body has been through a lot of trauma and it will take a little while for it to adjust. Glad she is in an uplifted mood, that sure helps a lot. Glad she is doing good with her walking and exercising her legs.

Sounds like you had a little scare last night. So glad it was straightened out. It does appear as though exhaustion is normal so don't be discouraged. Get as much rest as possible and take baby steps to recovery. You are in all our prayers all the time.

I know it is disappointing when something like that happens - Dave is 9 mos out of surgery and it took at least 6 mos for the a-fib to settle down. Don't be discouraged!!! Your heart and body have been through major trauma and it takes time to settle down and heal. Remember 2 steps forward, 1 step back - God is right by your side no matter which direction you are going!!!!

Jamie, seems like you have made great progress. We are sooo happy. The power of prayer is great (you know we really do know that prayer brings miracles). You have wonderful support from your family.
