God is with you Duane and he will be there always. You have touched a lot of lives, it is now time for us to touch yours. Our prayers are many and strong, both for you and your family. I also pray for Peggy as I know what the waiting is like through the love of your life's surgery.
All of you are continuously in my heart and prayers. Love being able to keep informed on this website. You are truely blessed and we are blessed by having you among us. Lots of love to you all! Will be anxiously awaiting the post-op update. Deborah Q
Well, the delay must be frustrating, but by the end of the day it will all be behind you. Loved the photo of Jesus in the surgery. How wonderful that your children surprised you!! Prayers to all of you. Will wait for the post-op update.

Everyone in Korea is praying for you. I love you lots and can't wait to see you when I get back :) I send you a great big hug from the other side of the world. I am blessed to have a great uncle like you.
Good Morning Duane and Peggy,
You been in our prayers all week. The big day is here and God IS with each of you and your dear family. Just wanted you to know we will be praying all day and we love you! Sending hugs your way!
love, Paul and Beth
Duane,Cindy here, was thinking and praying for you at 5:30 this morning while walking in the extremely "brisk" air. Little did I know that your day had already started. God has wonderful things in store for you. He put you here to be a gift to many and you will continue to be that. Bob and I are sending our very best thoughts to you and Peggy and your whole family. Sounds like we should send a case of "anti-itch" cream also for post op new hair growth:)
Meds are good! :) embrace them! I will be in touch, and I am not that far away. I will be back in town on Saturday night, and if Peggy is tired of sleeping on the couch in the hospital (or anyone in your family for that matter), we have places for you to crash at our house--if even for a short time to refresh. I can provide taxi services as well. You have my cell number.
Oh man, to have all your kids and parents with you, how great Duane! We enjoy and appreciate the updates. You are a loved man. We are glad for the peace you have felt and are praying for you still.
We've been praying for you and will be praying tomorrow. Jack says that you'll be a picture of health and will have more energy than you've had in years. Sleep well. It might be good to take the sleeping pill. You do need to rest. I know. I'm like you. I don't take meds but they finally convinced me before a surgery I had. But do your own thing....it'll be one of the few decisions you can make in the next while. God bless you and keep you and continue to give you His Peace.
Duane and Family,
You'll be in my prayers, especially the next few days. We've been through heart surgeries in our family and all has gone well. It's amazing what medical science can do these days. My daughter works in a cardiac icu and reminds you to be nice to the nurses:) Duane, when you called about the annual reports, I didn't know what surgery you were talking about; just now caught up on emails. Again, may God be close to you all, and give you peace.
hey dad its nikki just wanted to say hi and that i love you. i will be praying for you all day tomorrow. and checking in with andrew. i just want to let you know iam so happy your my father inlaw. i couldn't ask for a better family to be joined to.
Dear Peggy, Duane, And Family, Good news today. Will be praying continuously..We are calling your parents, Duane, and asking them to join us for Sunday dinner with the Malsoms. Sleep well, the Palmateers
Great news on the cath and no work needed! I am sure you are relieved it is over and think it was not that big of a deal. You soon will join me in the fraternity of bald eagles, chest tubes, cathether, etc.. I cannot tell you how to feel but know that we are praying for comfort and peace for you and Peggy! You are going to come through this with flying colors, I know it.
Try to relax tonight and that is easier said than done. Good luck tomorrow and can't wait for the updates!
After reading your last journal, I realized what a blessing you must be to your church family. I bet you can give a mean sermon. Wow, you wrote some powerful stuff.
This journey ahead of you is just going to strengthen you in so many ways. I am sure you have forgotten more scripture then I even know. But I would love to share one of my favorite verses with you. Romans 8:28 says that God will use all things for good for people that live according to his purpose. God will use this to bless you. I am sure it is hard to imagine that now. But I can not wait to see what He will do with this.
You are in our prayers! I know you are nervous but the Cath is nothing! I hope it shows that you are clean and clear. You are going to do great and just remember that you have so many prayers going for you. I look forward to reading about your cath results.
We are pulling for you!
I am reminded of this little Commitment...
"Until I'm committed there's a hesitancy, a chance to draw back. But the moment that I definitely commit myself, God moves, and a whole stream of events begin to erupt. All manner of unforseen incidence, persons, meetings, and material assistance that I would have never dreamed wouldflow my way begin to come toward me--the moment that I make a commitment."
You have proved every word of this when you commited your live to Christ, when you committed to the Ministry, and know when you commited to the proceedure. God Moves! and Blesses! and Keeps On!
Praying for you, Peggy, and the family that God will keep you all in His perfect peace as you keep your minds fixed on Him. May God use this experience in ways greater than you could ever think or imagine, both to bless you and to bring Himself much glory. Praying that you will heal quickly and fully as Jehovah-Rapha demonstrates His power. We love you. Tom & Nadine Olney
Your honesty and bravery inspire and minister to me/us. We are praying for peace that passes understanding! And, we trust Psalm 34:18, that (literally) "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted," and pray that you'll feel his nearness all the time!
Love, and please give Peggy our love, too,
Just read your posting today and can't thank you enough for taking the time to share your prayers and thoughts with the rest of us. Even though my surgery is over, I still find your postings very comforting. Those who know you personally are truly blessed. Of course Peggy needs lots of support too as a spouse and love of your life. My husband and family found facing my surgery much more difficult that I did. It just really told me how much I was loved and I know that's what your family is feeling for you. You will be back stronger and healthier. Again, you and your family are in my prayers too. Cheryl, Ontario
We have been praying for your entire family and will continue to do so. If there is anything you need once you are home please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely, Ryan, Amanda, Riley, and Blake Emanuel
We love you very much, dad and are so excited that you are taking care of this, sooner, rather than later! We pray that all will go well and can't wait to hear about it once the surgery is done. We are praying daily up here in PCB and miss you and mom very much. Much love, many prayers, and smiles always from your kiddos and youngest granddaughter, Ben, Bryanna and Daisy!
Duane & Peggy,
Gary just told me about your surgery! I will be praying for you, buddy! Sure miss the great conversations we used to have when we were young! :) Actually, Peggy, you and Barb still LOOK young! We love you guys...know we are praying for you!!!!
matt & barb
Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I forwarded your name to our our Church here in T-Town and now you have another 500 or so putting in a good word. It's all in the numbers for a terrfic recovery. I'm not as worried about myself as I am for my wife, she seems to think its a big deal, so our loved ones need those prayers also. Remember to be nice to your nurses, they are in charge of your catheter. I already sent mine flowers and candy with a note about how I feel about it.
Bonnie gave me a heads up about your surgery. I was surprised that you have to have surgery for your MVP (especially w/o symptoms), as I've been living w/ MVP since my teens - often w/ symptoms. haha Guess the "regurgitation" hasn't been significant enough in my case. :D
Just sending a last minute prayer and wish for good luck. Will be looking forward to hearing about your experience and pictures you are planning on taking. Will look forward to your next posting - post-op. Cheryl, Ontario
Thank you for taking the time to send me a note. Will pray for your successful surgery on the 28th. God will guide the surgeon's hands. We are both blessed with wonderful spouses and circle of family and friends. Couldn't imagine doing this alone. On reflection, we, as Christians we are never alone--right? Yesterday I received a prayer quilt from a friend(45 years). The quilt has knots in it and every knot she made was accompanied by a prayer. I (and my husband) cried when I saw it and read her message. Our 6 year old grandson was here at the time and was very concerned to see us crying. He needed to learn there are lots of kinds of tears. As for Captain Bill, he will be a day ahead of me with a less complicated surgery, but am sure we will see each other while we're there. Will let you know if he's as funny in person, am sure he is. Will wait for updates on your surgery. God be with you.
God's word says, "I have begun to deliver...now begin to conquer and poses Deut. 2:31
God is waiting to pour out His richest blessings on you. He has come to fight by your side. "Go forward" with bold confidence and take what is yours. He has begun to deliver. "Through him we are more than conquerers" Rom.8:37 Now begin to conquer and posses.
Thanks for the update man. The LeMaires are praying for the next 48 hours+ to be miraculously smooth and successful. You can do this! "You will keep him in perfect peace, he whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you."
Duane you are my favorite brother (and only). I will be not just thinking but praying for you. If you need I will jump a plane and be there just let me know. Don't forget the GREAT PHYSICIAN will be ther over seeing the surgery and guiding Dr. Accola hands during this time. Love you brother.
Duane our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. I'm having my valve replaced on the same day. My wife Susan will monitor your progress for me.You being a preacher and all, could you put in a good word for me!
I have spent a lot of time at the Florida Hospital with my Dad. It is an awesome facility. You will immediately feel like you are in great hands. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you both through this procedure.
The journal is wonderful. You are awesome in God's eyes. This journal will reach out and touch so many. Remember what I said, "you will be a miracle". "He" will be at your side through it all. "Never to forsake you". In my thoughts, my heart, my prayers. Love you, Nedra
What a wealth of information you are. Even though I've had my surgery, I'm still eager to learn more about the procedure and for sure will spend some time checking out the sites you mentioned. Besides, being in the recovery stage, there are still little things that happen that leave you wondering. Great top ten list, by the way!
Wow! I just had minor surgery to remove a cyst and was a big baby! I can't imagine this. But I thought of Psalm 57:7 in the old KJV: "My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!" We will be praying for you guys.
Duane and Peggy,
Wish somehow we could be there for you on Thursday. Please know that even though we are not there physically, we are with you in spirit. We have been and will continue to lift you, Peggy & family in prayer. My intent is to fast and pray on Thursday until you are safely out of surgery. Love you brother, Gary & Kay
