Rejoicing with those who rejoice! What great faith-builders to see God at work answering our prayers - exceedingly abundantly! Peggy, I think you have your work cut out for you as you care for the "patient." He sounds ornery!

Good for you, Duane! I've been reading your progression, and it's reassuring me in preparation for my aorta valve replacement & mitral valve repair on this coming Monday (Feb 1st & 2nd).
I'm glad your humor is intack and I'm so glad you (and your wife) are keeping this dialog for we who are preparing for the same procedures in the near future. It really encourages and instills confidence to read them. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Great news. I was thinking and praying for Duane today. It was kind of weird standing in line at wal-mart thinking what he is doing and that I will be doing the same thing in a few weeks. Please post the play by play recap so I know what the other team will be up to. Please tell him captain bill says happy boating!

Hi Peggy,
I know...I know...the wait is long. I remember when my mom had her heart surgery. It doesn't help with the delay in surgery, though we know God is in control. Hang in there, the great report you will hear soon. I've prayed all night with a couple of winks here and there, and have been hanging over the computer in prayer also. "All is going to be alright". Say, hello to everyone there for Dale and I. Love you sis in law, Nedra

Hello Dear Family. Just realized that I could sign in to the guestbook ...duha! This heart valve journal has been terrific for keeping us updated. My prayers have and will continue to be with each of you and especially Duane. I have had many flashbacks to 5 years ago when our Babby Sam had his heart removed and restructured. The amazing things that can be done these days. Also last week I helped Melanie disect sheep hearts with the kids as a sicence project. (Gotta love home schooling!) Of course Duane was the center of conversation as she explained the valves and their function.
Well dear ones let us find strength and comfort in the faithfulness and care of our
Abba Father and Great Physicin. Oh how I wish I were there with you all.
My prayers remain for Duane and each of you.
Love and hugs,Carla

Duane & Peggy,
I am reading your journal messages for my husband Richard who has been following Duane as they had surgery the same day! I will let him know although the surgery was later that it went well! Richard's was also later, but went from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. He is doing Ok - will be in ICU longer than expected, but this email should be about your husband -so glad he is doing well - can't wait to tell Richard.
