So good to hear how well everything is going! Much prayer and thoughts from Bedford Missionary Church Families! I will limit my visit from Iowa!;o) Take Duane, Peggy and family! Sweet and precious memories of you all! Love, Joleen, Layne & Thornton family
I'm delighted to hear of the rapid progress toward recovery. What a relief that this is all behind you/him. Tell him to not be too impatient (yeah, right). Healing takes time, but boy, is he on his way!
I am so happy that the surgery was a success. Duane, you have the greatest sense of humor. You too, Peggy (the legs thing). I am due to have AVR next Thursday (4th) and I am taking Jesus, the great cheer from you two, and prayer of saints all over, with me every step of the way!! Thank you!!!
These updates are wonderful. It's great to be kept informed!
Rejoicing with those who rejoice! What great faith-builders to see God at work answering our prayers - exceedingly abundantly! Peggy, I think you have your work cut out for you as you care for the "patient." He sounds ornery!
Ice chips, whoooo whoo; maybe you will graduate up to those again today or charm yourself into some:) Hugs to you and Peggy, well maybe a very light pat on the back for you now. This site was a brillant thing to keep all of us updated. Thanks!
We are so glad "its over"... at least the surgery part! Peggy, thanks for keeping us updated on the progress. Duane, hang in there... those ice chips are worth fighting for!
Love you guys!
Hey, Duane, how'bout some tennis or racquet ball, soon? I am so grateful God answered all our prayers. He must still have a great deal of work for you to do, now you have the heart to do it with!!! Our God is SO awesome. We love you and Peggy so much. Get a good night's sleep and come out swonging Friday! Joy & Scott
Good for you, Duane! I've been reading your progression, and it's reassuring me in preparation for my aorta valve replacement & mitral valve repair on this coming Monday (Feb 1st & 2nd).
I'm glad your humor is intack and I'm so glad you (and your wife) are keeping this dialog for we who are preparing for the same procedures in the near future. It really encourages and instills confidence to read them. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Tell my Mitral Valve Brother WAY TO GOOOOO! He is one step ahead and is leading the way. We will trudge the same path. I go in for surgery at about 7:30. Need to be there at 6:00. Praise the LORD that the repair went well. Janet
Hi Pastor Hunt and Peggy, I have been praying for you all day. I am so glad I found this site as I have not heard how you are doing. Praise and Glory be to God our Saviour Is'nt it wonderful to know that your heart is in HIS hands!..
Duane, Peggy & family,
We are so glad and relieved to hear that all went well with Duane's surgery. In fact upon reading the news, I have to admit feeling choked up. Prayers were going up yesterday and today. Jesus was there in the O.R. as we knew he would be!!!!! Love to all, Bob & Carole Hoffman
Hi Peggy and Duane
Absolutely terrific news to hear Duane's repair went so well. How wonderful the kids were there with you. It's been a very long day for you all so wishing everyone a happy and restful night. Cheryl, Ontario
Great news. I was thinking and praying for Duane today. It was kind of weird standing in line at wal-mart thinking what he is doing and that I will be doing the same thing in a few weeks. Please post the play by play recap so I know what the other team will be up to. Please tell him captain bill says happy boating!
Praise God, our prayers were answered. God is so good. I will keep him my prayers as he comes out of the lulu land and begin to feel his worse as he says. Thank you for keeping us posted. I will also pray for you too Peggy you'll have to help him through all the discomfort of his hair coming back. Well maybe he should feel blessed at least he has hair....
I know...I know...the wait is long. I remember when my mom had her heart surgery. It doesn't help with the delay in surgery, though we know God is in control. Hang in there, the great report you will hear soon. I've prayed all night with a couple of winks here and there, and have been hanging over the computer in prayer also. "All is going to be alright". Say, hello to everyone there for Dale and I. Love you sis in law, Nedra
Hello Dear Family. Just realized that I could sign in to the guestbook ...duha! This heart valve journal has been terrific for keeping us updated. My prayers have and will continue to be with each of you and especially Duane. I have had many flashbacks to 5 years ago when our Babby Sam had his heart removed and restructured. The amazing things that can be done these days. Also last week I helped Melanie disect sheep hearts with the kids as a sicence project. (Gotta love home schooling!) Of course Duane was the center of conversation as she explained the valves and their function.
Well dear ones let us find strength and comfort in the faithfulness and care of our
Abba Father and Great Physicin. Oh how I wish I were there with you all.
My prayers remain for Duane and each of you.
Love and hugs,Carla
Duane & Peggy,
I am reading your journal messages for my husband Richard who has been following Duane as they had surgery the same day! I will let him know although the surgery was later that it went well! Richard's was also later, but went from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. He is doing Ok - will be in ICU longer than expected, but this email should be about your husband -so glad he is doing well - can't wait to tell Richard.
Was awake every 2 hours last evening to pray for you. Didn't read the time change in your surgery so have been checking the clock
this a.m. waiting for word that it is complete - thinking it was 7:30! ha~!
So glad you have all your family there and I'm praying for all of you. Peggy is an amazing woman - you are right about that! Will be looking forward to hearing all went well.
Love you much,
Just wanted to say I'm thinking about you. By now you are already in surgery and I'm sure you are a model patient. How can you be anything else when you're out like a light. Good luck and my prayers are with you.
