Dr. Sabik replaced my aortic valve in May 2010. He's the best!! You're in great hands and I know your recovery will go just as smoothly as mine did.

I do believe that the heart is all good due to the combining of steaks with alcohol as the "hard liquor" breaks down all the bad stuff! Whew, I am glad your tests went well and we will be praying for you tomorrow.

Best wishes Darlene! I hope you have a wonderful surgery, and a textbook recovery. I had my mitral valve repaired 7weeks ago, and it was much better than I could imagine. I was scared, and anxious. But I was drawing smiley faces as I woke up 1 hour after surgery...they had to take my breathing tube out quick as I was so alert and happy.

The nurses are so wonderful, they know all the tricks to keep you safe and comfortable. You just feel so grateful, and I felt in good care, my worries went when I woke up.

Recovery is amazing the first week, some days you take huge steps in a matter of hours.

Be well, take care. You will be so happy you took this step to a healthier heart.
