I'm glad you didn't have to wait too long for another date so this time it will probably be a go for sure. You'll be enjoying a spring recovery - not too hot and not too cold for getting out and doing your walking. I'll be getting your updates and will look forward to all good reports.
Thanks for the update, Friday it is. Long wait. Waiting is not an easy thing to do. I had to wait from Jan 3rd when I was given my surgical date of March 18th. God had to teach me patience. Next week at this time you'll have it all behind you and they will be planning your discharge. Be peaceful. You are in my prayers.
Oh, so sorry. To be mentally prepared and not have it done has got to be tough. I know we realize that if we were the one with the emergency we would want to be first. Will pray for a quick date and successful surgery.
Don't know if you'll get to read this before your surgery tomorrow. You sound calm and are up to the task. It's all in God and the doctor's hands tomorrow and you will do well. Can't believe I am 12 days post op with a new mitral valve and tricuspid repair. Thought they would have to repair the aortic, but it was okay. Three valves would have been something. Hope someone will post for you so we get positive updates. You'll "sleep" through it all, it's harder on loved ones who are waiting.Prayers to you.
Good to hear that everything is ready to go to get you all fixed up again. I'll be thinking of you & hope that it helps to know we're pulling for you - even from beautiful downtown MR.
Sending you more love & hugs - Laro
"Just one more thing to finish up at work" - think I've heard that before
I was so happy to see you last night. You know that all of us will be thinking about you on Wednesday. Looking forward to visiting after your surgery, although I will give you plenty of time to recuperate...maybe stop by the house in a couple of weeks or so. If you need anything, even company, in the meantime, find a way to let me know. Love you!! Twylla
Thank you re the up-date. Glad you're now on medical leave and really sorry it's taking so long to get a hospital booking. Won't be long now I bet, my friend Myrna just called, she's having her heart surgery on Monday and you/she were doctoring about the same time.
Thinking of you - Pat.
Glad to hear that you have a diagnosis and hope all goes well. Perhaps if you tell them that you have to be ready for golf season they will move you up on the wait list. After all the medical profession is all about exercise.
See you on the links!
Take care, Flora
Hope your wait is not too long. I am at the Cleveland Clinic right now and will have my surgery tomorrow. Dr Gillinov will replace 2 valves, mitral and aortic and repair my tricuspid (didn't know about that one till I met him an hour ago). I was given my surgical date back on January 4th so God has taught me patience as I have waited. If I chose to have the surgery in FL where I live the surgery would most likely have been done in Jan. But this is where I need to be and I have no doubts. I will be following your journey post op. So, keep posting. Good luck.
Almost St Pats Day so today hope you're feeling well & ready for some green goodies tomorrow. Hope too that everything is progressing smoothly to get your heart procedure scheduled soon. Have a good day my friend.
So much for the winter vacation............but so glad to hear that they are getting around to fixing things up. This journal is such a good idea so we hear directly from the patient. Best wishes good friend and talk to you soon! Hi to Rick and the rest of your family.
Hope you get a surgery date soon and that it all goes smoothly and successfully. Great idea about the website! Take care mate & all the very best for quick surgery and a thorough recovery
love Natalie, Paul & family
I don't know how I missed seeing your journal come in but I did. You haven't done anymore postings so I'm assuming you don't have your surgery date yet. How are you handling things? Are you okay? Just wanted to drop by and say hi. Cheryl, Ontario
Crystal, I hadn't heard, but am glad you can share info this way. Will be thinking of you, and sending prayers. Will also be watching for more messages. Take care and call if you need to...Love you! Twylla
To my special friend, my thoughts and prayers are with you. You are an incredibly resilient person, with such a joy for life. Now you have another challenging life journey to travel. And you will travel this one with all the strength that you have lived your life with. Love ya, and hope you are able to get a surgery time soon.
